Holiday Home nr 250 is a childfriendly apartment and is part of a 3-floor building, at the waterfront, 100 m from Hourtin Port. Is can be rented from Saterday to saterday.

The ground floor easily sleeps 4 people.

The HolidayHourtin homes lie at the hart of Médoc, between vast pine forests, the largest natural lake in France and the Atlantic Ocean.

The Atlantic influences the climate and weather is temperate and mild compared to surrounding areas. Summers can be very hot and sunny. With its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, nights tend to cool down and mosquitos are rare. The area benefits from regular termic afthernoon winds, perfect for kite-surfing, windsurfing, sailing and catamaran.

The town features a traditional village, a lake side and a ocean side:

Hourtin and Carcans share the biggest natural freshwater lake in France. Hourtin Port offers monitored beaches, children island, fishing, boat rental, sailing, surfing,… Equipment Rental is a 5 min walk.

"Iles au enfants" & its playground, a carefree childrens paradise, lies in front of the appartment and is perfect for walking, cycling, fishing and picknicking on the water’s edge. It has many activities (I Wake Park Hourtin, Splash Park) on offer for children and admission is free.

Fishing & sailing: licenses can be bought at the Port or online.

Cycling is a way of live in Hourtin. A great network of cycling tracks links the three resorts of Lacanau, Carcans-Maubuisson and Hourtin with the Atlantic Ocean and its dunes. More than 150km of cycle paths thrue the vast forest of Pines. On request you can use two adult bikes or rent at a 5min walk.

Mini-golf, Skate Park & Tennis is also a 5 min walk

We recommend the Food Market at Hourtin Bourg: enjoy fresh Oysters with a glas of wine every Tue, Thu and Sat morning

Horseback riding in the forest or the lake and courses any age at any level is available at walking distance. You can share a moment with your childeren, as part of a try-out or a ride along the lake. Also horse shows, gold digging, Western bar & restaurant.

She lives in the village of Hourtin, right behind the church. She will also be you point of contact once you are there in case you have questions concerning the house. Perfect location and accommodation for a family holiday

Our granddaughter really enjoyed the combination of French rural life in Hourtin together with the Hourtin Port development and facilities. The surf at Hourtin Plage was really impressive.

Why can't I call Kathleen (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Kathleen (the owner) a message.

If Kathleen (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
