The holiday home was acquired in 2016 to meet the demand of a reasonably priced waterfront vacation rental with garden for a family with 3 children. The apartment was refurnished in 2017 and the kitchen was redone.

Positioned to the south, to the lake and to the children Island, this holiday home offers its residents an exceptional summer feeling in a contemporary atmosphere.

This destination lies at the hart of Médoc, between vast pine forests, the largest natural lake in France and the Atlantic Ocean. The Atlantic influences the climate and weather is temperate and mild compared to surrounding areas. Summers can be very hot and sunny, sunburn may be a risk if you’re unprepared. With its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, nights tend to cool down and mosquitos are rare. The town features a traditional village, a lake side and a ocean side

This child-friendly apartment is part of a 3-floor building, at the waterfront, 100 m from Hourtin Port and sleeps 5.

In the living room, you will find a dinner table; a sofa; TV table; TV, radio and plenty of storage room. Furthermore we can offer family games and novels.

The kitchen area is fully equipped to cook for 5 people and some guests including a coffee maker, freezer, fridge, toaster and 4 cooking plates. There are sufficient accessories to serve an appetizer or picnic and to have a BBQ. Cot and high chair are also available on demand.

The property as 2 gardens: one positioned in the south and one to the North. The frontyard (N) has a terrace with outdoor furniture. Furthermore, a BBQ in the backyard (S) is at your disposal.

Well behaved small dogs are welcome​.

The official check-in time is15.00 hours to 18.00 hours and check-out time is 10.00 hours in the morning. The keys are available at our locale contact. She lives in the village of Hourtin, right behind the church. She will also be you point of contact once you are there in case you have questions concerning the house. Cleaning service and laundry service (rental of bedlinnen and towels) is available at eur40 for housekeeping at departure and eur50 for the laundry service.

Why can't I call Kathleen (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I pay the balance of my holiday?

You can pay the remaining balance of your holiday at any point. Simply go to Manage my holiday booking and click Pay now.

How can I retract my booking request?

You’ll need to contact Kathleen (the owner) to do this. Send them a message in Manage your holiday booking or through the contact form on this page.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Kathleen (the owner) a message.

If Kathleen (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
