Modern self-catering holiday house, centrally located in a quiet street 100 meters from Hout Bay beach in Cape Town. Perfect location; walk to the beach, shops, restaurants, supermarket and Hout Bay Harbour. Close to Cape Town City Centre (about 25km) and all major tourist attractions.

The sunny cottage is tastefully decorated in modern beach style, with a happy holiday feel and a great flow from the open plan living area to the garden with large private solar-heated pool. Close to everything, yet far enough from the main road to enjoy the tranquillity of the beautiful private and fully enclosed garden. Lovely mountain views.

Hout Bay Beach Cottage has back up power during electricity outages, the indoor and outdoor lights stay on, uncapped fast fibre WIFI works, TV's work and plugs available to charge cellphones and laptops during loadshedding.

Flatscreen Smart TV in living area with DSTV channels, Netflix, Youtube etc. Second Smart TV in the master bedroom with DSTV Channels, Netflix and DVD player.

Single garage plus off-street parking.

Clean and well maintained with luxury comforts throughout, from top quality pure cotton bed linen with electric blankets for the cooler evenings to fans for the warmer summer days. Why can't I call Myrthe (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How can I retract my booking request?

You’ll need to contact Myrthe (the owner) to do this. Send them a message in Manage your holiday booking or through the contact form on this page.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Myrthe (the owner) a message.

If Myrthe (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
