From the owner

The cottage is located on a one acre lot on beautiful Hagerman Lake in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans, utensils, knives, toaster oven, toaster, coffee maker and more. All beds are regular size. Linens, blankets, and towels are not provided.

It is a three bedroom cottage with kitchen, living room, basement and two bathrooms including an electric sauna. The loft area has two large rooms with extra beds. Hagerman lake is pristine and considered one of the most beautiful lakes in the region. The lake offers boating, swimming and is one of the best fishing lakes around. Renters return year after year due to its central location to the cities of Iron River Mi and Eagle River WI. Both towns are vacation destinations and offer very good restaurants and watering holes. The cottage has municiple water, electricity and is serviced by an approved septic system. In addition, it has a forced air furnace and wood stove for chilly evenings in the fall and winter. The area is a year round playground for summer fun, fall fishing and hunting, winter sports including downhill and cross country skiing, and snowmobile trails. Many of the properties on the lake are year round homes, but most are recreational . You will enjoy the quiet surroundings, large landscaped lot with lake dock and the many recreational activities the area has to offer.

We enjoyed our stay during the 2020 hunting season. We had enough beds for our 7 guys. Doug was very helpfull even let us use his chain saw. We hope to be back next year.

Why can't I call Doug / Susan (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Doug / Susan (the owner) a message.

If Doug / Susan (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
