Tucked away just a short drive from Tarbert, the main town on Harris, in a secluded bay is Mol Bàn a traditional Hebridean croft house. Mol Bàn nestles in a quarter acre of gardens, slightly wild as you would expect on this untamed island and as the name implies (shingle beach in Gaelic) a path leads from the front door down to your own pebble beach, where Seals play and Otters shyly go about their business.

Mol Bàn makes an ideal self catering holiday cottage, in a perfect location for you to take advantage of the wealth of activities Harris has to offer. The beautiful Harris beaches, such as stunning Luskentyre, are a close 15-20mins drive away. On your doorstep you will find wonderful walks, wildlife to watch, fishing lochs close by, art galleries to try and the Isle of Harris Distillery all within walking distance or a short drive. Our visitors comment on the incredible views from every window and enjoy watching the Ferry on its travels or spend time spotting wildlife in the bay. If you are really lucky you might even catch the Aurora Borealis!

Mol Ban offers comfortable and spacious accommodation with three large double bedrooms which can sleep up to six people. Two large reception rooms provide plenty of space for family, or friends and a large garden with your own pebble beach where children can play, take their fishing nets and explore. The cottage is well equipped for all weather, including wifi, a small, varied library, a well stocked games cupboard, sky tv package, table tennis table and even a baby grand piano! The open fire and Jacuzzi bath make returning back from a hike in the hills a pleasure.

Please note access to this cottage is gained using a key code which is provided to guests ahead of their stay. Molban is accessed by steps leading down to the property and as such is unsuitable for anyone with mobility concerns.
