Heirloom Istanbul is a Historical Apartment Building with 6 rental units (three 1 bedroom and 3 studios). The building is located 500mt. from Taksim Square, 700 mt. from Istanbul Modern Museum and tram station which can take you to Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Archeology Museum in 5 minutes, or you can walk to these attractions in 30 to 45 minutes . In addition, Commercial Business District is easily accessible from two metro stations.

This forth floor (attic) studio accommodates 2 adults (There is a view of the Galata Tower and portions of the old peninsula). One Queen size bed, En Suite Bathroom (shower and toilet) with towels for 2, refrigerator, a kettle, microwave oven, electric stove, stainless steel cookware, porcelain cups, plates, wine glasses and silverware for two are provided.

There is a market and cafe located on the bottom floor of the building. Siphon, pour over or traditional expresso coffee, pastries, salads, ciabatta panini sandwiches are available in the cafe from 8:00am till 8:00pm.

As a part of our social responsibility project we carry shawls, olive wood ware, and extra virgin olive oil made in the villages of Aegean Coast of Turley using traditional methods.

Restoration of this building incorporated environmentally friendly construction materials and supported sustainable development practices. For example, the Plywood supporting the wood floors, emit no or very low formaldehyde into the air. Other materials include Rockwool insulation, glass tiles, Volatile Organic Compounds-free paint and wood stains. The furniture and cabinetry were made from solid wood from local sustainable sources. No MDF or OSB was used in this building. All William Morris designed wallpaper used in the building was printed on formaldehyde-free paper from managed sustainable European Forests. The printing was done with water-based inks and coatings and do not contain lead or any other heavy metals. The wallpaper is installed with wheat paste/cellulose paste. All the furniture in the building was designed to represent the arts and crafts movement using solid wood. The water heating and heating and air-conditioning system is controlled by a energy efficient central system, which is located outside the building. The building and the units are equipped with fire alarm and automatic fire sprinkler system. Additionally, building features were added to the building for earthquake retrofitting. The rooms are equipped with audio-video system to communicate with the main entry door. Please note that no shoes are allowed in the building. To preserve this 110 year old building's original staircase and the wood floors in the rooms we kindly request the guest to take their shoes off at the entry (either carry them to your room or place them in your unit's shoe cupboard which is provided at the main entry). This building is strictly NON-SMOKING. We regret that we cannot accommodate pets.

    How do damage deposits work?

    In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

    Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

    How do I edit my booking?

    You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Dilek (the owner) a message.

    If Dilek (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
