Villa Khami is a modern villa built and equipped to a high standard in 2004. Set on a hill overlooking the Mirabello gulf in north east Crete, Khami is 12km towards Sitia from Aghios Nikolaos between the village of Kalo Horio and the resort of Istron. This part of Crete is renowned for its majestic and dramatic mountain scenery. Khami is ideal for large family parties, sleeping up to ten in five double/twin bedrooms with three bathrooms and its own freshwater pool. Khami is owned by a family who have been coming here for thirty years, attracted not only by the beautiful weather, scenery and beaches, but also by the friendliness of the local people who have always made our visits so enjoyable. It is the sort of place that draws you back time and again. We are only one hour's drive from Heraklion airport.

The five bedrooms are on two floors. All bedrooms have generous storage both wardrobes and drawer space. All bedrooms have air conditioning and mosquito screens. When hiring at discounted 6 person partial occupancy rate only the first floor is made up. First floor: Bedroom 1: twin bed with en suite shower room, balcony with pool and sea view, plus second window with village view. Bedroom 2: has a king size bed, balcony with pool and sea view. Bedroom 3: twin bed room, balcony with mountain view. Family bathroom: 2 showers, toilet and basin. Second Floor: Bedroom 4: has a king size bed with sea view. Bedroom 5: twin bed with village view. Shower room: shower, toilet and basin. Shaded terrace/balcony full width of the villa with a stunning view of the bay. Ground floor: Fully equipped kitchen, open plan lounge & dining area with ceiling fans, WiFi, Smart TV and DVD. Separate toilet and basin. There is a full size table tennis table in the basement. Please bring your own towels for pool and beach. We have Youtube videos please ask for a link (we are not allowed to link direct here)

The terrace accessed from the kitchen and dining area is set above the pool with another dining table for 10. It is in the sun at breakfast and perfectly shaded in the heat of the day. A lockable gate leads down the steps to the pool.There are 10 pool loungers and 2 large umbrellas provided. There is also a poolside shower. The 10m long pool is entered via large steps that are ideal for supervised toddlers to play on. The pool shelves gently to a depth of 1.7 metres. There are well established plants in the garden that provide lots of colour throughout the season. There is a lockable side gate to the property meaning the garden and pool area is secured. Outside the gate is plenty of space to hang washing/towels to dry. There are also driers on the bedroom balconies.

We send you full driving instructions and how to access the villa at least two weeks before you arrive. We also have Youtube videos (we are not allowed to link direct here) which show the last 2km approach to the villa so you can visualise the arrival. Rose, our manager, visits at the start of the holiday and we have a cleaner who comes mid stay for bookings longer than a week. Pavlo cleans the pool every other morning, but will most likely be gone before you get up. There is a folder with tips for trips and more details on the villa and the area.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Andrew (the owner) a message.

If Andrew (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
