Hillside Haven is committed to cleanliness and safety for those visiting our lovely guest suite. Our COVID-19 Preparedness Plan will insure the suite is cleaned and sanitized following CDC guidelines. Minimum nightly stay has been increased to 5 nights and 1 day of unavailability between reservations to insure proper cleaning of the suite.

DISCOUNTED RATES FOR 2021!

Due to an addition being built onto our main house there will be more people on the property during the summer of 2021. The Guest Suite is not connected to the main house and construction noise will be kept to a minimum during your stay. Take advantage of these discounts!

This new 1 bedroom, 720 sq ft suite has been custom built to make your stay with us as enjoyable and relaxing as possible. With your own private entrance you have the freedom to come and go as you please, and since you will be the only party on the premise, our property is yours to fully enjoy.

Drive up to a beautifully landscaped property where the sound of the eagles calling, the wind blowing through the hemlock trees, and the meditative sound of water flowing from our stream melt your worries and stress away. Walk up the stairs to your own private, hand milled red cedar deck and take in the sights of the Tongass National Forest right out your front door. Come in and feel the comfort of our in floor radiant heat warm your feet and soul. With our fully furnished kitchen you can see how easily this will become your home away from home and with an amazing view of Auke Nu Cove from the living room window you are sure to feel the tensions of day to day life disappear. Now step through the french doors into your sanctuary of sleep and rest. A king size bed with soft flannel bedding awaits your weary feet and head. Your own private spa allures you into your full size bathroom that includes a two person whirlpool tub with steam shower, chromo therapy lights, aromatherapy diffuser, rain shower head, and stereo. This guest suite can also be transformed from a two person romantic getaway to a family retreat with the full size futon in the living room accommodating another two children or one adult. Take advantage of our location and book a halibut, salmon , or whale watching trip. Hike around the property or take a short drive to any of the great scenic trails in the area. Just come on out and enjoy Alaska the way you have always wanted to.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Theresa (the owner) a message.

If Theresa (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
