From the owner

Villa Dilara is a luxurious and generously proportioned detached private villa, ideally positioned with stunning uninterrupted views over the waters of Kalamar Bay. The villa is in a private location and is not overlooked. The huge terrace with its magnificent (heated) infinity pool and shaded gardens make this a villa where you can relax in peaceful surroundings and soak up the sun.

The main terrace or the more private roof terrace are both ideal for an evening 'sundowner' while watching the magnificent sunset over the bay. Spacious open plan living area, five large airy bedrooms all with fabulous views. Beautiful bespoke fittings and furnishings.

There is a large games room, under the pool, with table tennis, full size pool table, Nintendo Wii, DVD and 42" LCD TV and comfortable sofas.

Next to the Games Room, is a luxury spa with a 4 person jacuzzi, a walk in power shower and a heated hamman platform. You can enjoy an evening of relaxation with a glass of bubbles in the jacuzzi and soak away the stress.

This is a villa where you can enjoy a fabulous holiday with complete privacy, yet close to all of the amenities of both Kalkan village and Kalamar Bay. Cool travertine and granite, luxurious furniture, plasma television, DVD, internet access and fully equipped kitchen make this villa a fabulous fusion of Mediterranean calm and contemporary style.

It is just 300 metres to Kalamar Bay Beach Club. The beach club offers diving, jet skis, water skiing, pedalos and canoes. There is a great cafe with service to your sunbed. It is approximately a 20 minute walk to the main Kalkan beach to which local bus (dolmus) runs every half an hour. The famous Patara beach is 4 kilometres away (local buses every hour) with 18 km of sparkling sand or in the other direction is Kaputas Beach with approx 150 steps to a beautiful sandy cove.

Travel:

The nearest airport to Kalkan is Dalaman with approximately a 1.5 hour journey. Antalya also has a main airport, often used during the winter months, this is approximately 2.5 hours from Kalkan. We are happy to arrange your transfer from either airport or private car hire. There are many taxis in Kalkan for either short distances or for day hire to places of interest.

Distances:

The closest beach/sea is a 3 minute walk from the villa. The main Kalkan beach is approximately a 20 minute walk (buses available) The centre of Kalkan is approximately 5 minutes away if travelling by car or taxi. A 15 minute drive will take you to either Patara or Kaputas Beach. Fethiye the closest large town is approximately an hour away by car or bus, and Kas a lovely small harbour town is about 25 minutes away. There are many historical sites in the area all within a short drive

There are several banks all offering ATM facilities. There are also many businesses offering exchange facilities with excellent rates. Credit cards and sterling are also happily accepted. There are 2 small supermarkets within easy walk of the villa and several small restaurants and bars which offer excellent value. The supermarkets also offer a delivery service. Kalkan is a sophisticated resort with a myriad of restaurants, many of them rooftop with marvellous views of the sea and the harbour. This area of Turkey is full of archaeological sites and places of outstanding beauty all within easy reach of Kalkan

Eren Dag ski resort is now up and running in Seki which means that Kalkan is an ideal base for a skiing break in winter. The resort is close to Fethiye, around an hours drive from kalkan, and offers great skiing with very cheap ski hire and lift passes. A number of restaurants remain open in Kalkan over the winter.

We have a great management team in Kalkan that are always at hand to help with anything that you might need. We have a Turkish 'House' mobile phone that has important numbers stored in it that is at the disposal of guests. There is a 'Blue' book with relevant information and tips on how to enjoy the villa and Kalkan. The owners are also on hand, via e-mail, to help with anything before you leave for your holiday. Nothing is too much trouble. Please just ask and we will try to help. We are all here to make your holiday perfect.

How do damage deposits work?

If Felix (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
