Very Good

“Beautiful apartment with the best views in Kalkan.”

Reviewed 29 Jul 2017

Wendy & Brian kindly arranged airport transfers, so arriving here was stress free. There's also a welcome from the complex manager, and some essential provisions too. The apartment is beautiful, very modern and very clean. A well equipped and modern kitchen, complete with dishwasher. There's also a washing machine. There's a great shared swimming pool, with plenty of sun beds. We seemed to have the pool to ourselves most of the time too. If you don't fancy the pool, there's a great beach club five minutes walk down the hill, where you can enjoy Kalkan's beautiful turquoise sea. And Kalkan town, with all those incredible restaurants is only 15 minutes walk away too. A lovely cleaning lady attended every day, so we always felt comfortable. I think this apartment has the best views in Kalkan, perfect for enjoying those beautiful sunsets on one of two balconies. We loved staying here, we'll definitely be back.

“What a view!”

Reviewed 6 Aug 2013

When you arrive at night you have no idea just how spectacular the view is going to be. Our first impressions were of a beautifully furnished appartment, spotlessly clean with all mod cons. We immediately headed out to the balcony to toast our arrival with a glass or two of wine. There was none of this "I'm not sure what we've done". We immediately knew that we were in for an amazing week. Sunrise did not disappoint. You could simply sit and admire the view for a week and never get bored. The view of the whole of the bay of Kalkan is spectacular and there were many little boats taking guests on day trips. The swimming pool was again spotlessly clean and it's nice to have your own sun loungers so you can always be assured of a seat! The town itself is a maze of tiny streets as well as the fabulous roof top and harbour side restaurants. Would we go back? Yes but I think we would hire a car this time. The only down side was that the Dolmus did not run to the centre from the appartments. There were of course taxis but these were a little more pricey. The walk is only about 10 to 15 minutes but in 42 degrees walking up and down hills is a little excessive. The on site maintenance and cleaning team were second to none and checked every day that things were running smoothly. Ilkay soon sorted out the problem with the air con which was greatly appreciated. Wendy was very helpful and informative in the run up to our trip.

“Everything you need with as much information as you require and minimum fuss”

Reviewed 23 Jun 2013

My two sisters and I stayed in this apartment from 14th - 21st June 2013. I had stayed here once before with my husband around the same time two years previously. From the initial enquiry to returning home the owners, Wendy and Brian, were so helpful and kind you felt you were communicating with people you had known for ages. Transfers to and from the airport were arranged by them at our request and with the minimum of fuss. The apartment itself is perfect for up to four people. The bedrooms are light and roomy with one having a double bed and the other 2 singles and both having lovely modern marble en suite bathrooms with shower and toilet. The apartment itself is very spacious with spectacular views from the balcony looking out to sea and the harbour. There are two sunbeds on the balcony together with a two seater rattan sofa and umbrella and a dining table and seating for 4. The apartment stands at the top of the building and you are therefore not overlooked. The kitchen is well stocked with the usual items together with microwave, toaster, dish washer, oven and hob and fridge/freezer. A lady came in daily to empty bins and once to refresh the rooms and change towels. There is a manager to welcome you and ensure your departure is arranged and dealt with. The pool area is down a flight of stairs past the other apartments. There are 4 sunbeds and a Sun Umbrella by the pool which are clearly marked so there is no confusion as to which rental they belong to. From the apartment it is a 20 minute (ish) walk into the town where you will find everything you need whether it be a supermarket, restaurant, bar, beach or transport. A taxi from the town to the apartment cost around 12 Turkish Lira.(Approx £4 at current exchange rates) The walk back is easily manageable although a bit up hill to begin with and at the time of writing the road is a rough stoney/sandy affair. Ladies - forget the killer heels flat shoes only! Kalkan itself is very hilly and would not suit anyone who has mobility problems. I cannot recommend this property highly enough and whilst I have ticked the appropriate box re being suitable for older travellers this would of course depend on fitness.
