Standing on a hillside, just above the sea, this stunning, Mediterranean pearl is the ultimate luxury getaway.

Villa Defne is located in Kisla and situated directly above Villa Mahal, a boutique hotel voted by the Times Newspaper as having one of the best views in the world. It is a short distance to beach clubs, sports and entertainment facilities and a mini supermarket. Kalkan centre is less than a 5 minute drive or a 15 to 20 minute walk away. If you prefer, you can take a free water taxi from Villa Mahal to the harbour.

Tastefully designed, Villa Defne offers privacy in abundance and boasts a modern décor, with contemporary furnishings, bright, airy spaces and color-themed bedrooms. Wall-length windows (with heat-reflecting glass) maximise the stunning sea vistas from every angle and floor. Outdoors the patio is furnished with all the paraphernalia you'll require to while away lazy afternoons by the infinity pool. While the roof terrace is the ideal spot to catch the sunset over a languid, alfresco dinner.

The villa is fully air-conditioned and offers spacious accommodation for up to eight guests in five en-suite bedrooms, with an additional bathroom downstairs.

The ground floor features a generous open-plan living room, a dining area with an exclusive Italian designed white glass table and fully fitted kitchen with breakfast bar. There is a separate WC and the living area has direct access to the pool terrace.

As the owner, I wish to reply to these comments as they tend to give a one-sided view. Initially, I would like to apologise that the villa manager was not on hand to welcome you. There was some confusion in respect of the message I got from your booking agency and the information I passed on. Steps have been taken to ensure this will not happen again. In respect of cleaning, it was made clear on the website you booked via that there is only a mid-week clean and final clean (most villas don’t even offer the mid-week clean), not a personal butler service and cleaner on hand to clean and prepare as you require. The booking was for a self-contained villa, not a hotel where these services are provided – but at a much greater cost. In respect of the additional cleaning fees, this was payable as it was obvious you had had a last night party and had just left everything where you put it down. When the cleaners arrived following your departure, there was plates of food and drink left all over the terrace, plates with food on had just been pushed into the dishwasher, one on top the other and not even turned on, and piled high in the sink and on the worktops. Also, bottles had been left everywhere, both in the bedrooms and around the terraces and this all took much longer than normal to clean and clear up. Extra cleaners had to be called in because the next guests were waiting to move in, hence the additional cleaning costs involved. (I was sent photos of the way the villa had been left and in 23 years of renting properties out, I have never seen one left in such a mess. Most people leave the villa as they would leave their own property!) I am sorry that you feel the way you do but there are other reviews of our villa on Trip Advisor under the name “Defne Villa” and these all provide 5 stars and comments like: “spectacular views, tremendous holiday”; “Absolutely amazing villa and views”; “planning our return whilst still on this holiday”; and they include complementary remarks about the cleaners and management company.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Mustafa (the owner) a message.

If Mustafa (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
