From the owner

Full of character, this beautifully presented villa successfully combines modern fixtures and fittings with the style and ambiance of a traditional ottoman style property. Light, airy and deceptively spacious, the villa benefits from stunning views across Kalkan Bay to the town beyond. The outside space includes an infinity pool, terrace with sun-beds and parasols, dining area with large marble table, seating and canopy shade. There is also a courtyard with adjoining, versatile covered "garden room" with comfortable seating. Inside, the property is furnished to a high standard with a large open-plan living space plus cloakroom on the ground floor. Upstairs, the Ottoman feel is accentuated by travertine tiled bathrooms and beautiful dark wood ceilings in both en suite bedrooms. Each bedroom has access onto the large first floor balcony. Villa Josephina is just 3 minutes walk from the nearest beach park where you may swim in the sea, relax on sunbeds, enjoy a meal or drink, or catch the regular boat service over to Kalkan harbour and town centre less than 10 minutes away.

The large first floor balcony which runs around the front of the property is furnished with tables and chairs and offers the perfect vantage point for watching the boats in the bay during the day and the lights of the town at night.

Inside the villa, the accommodation comprises;

Fully furnished open plan ground floor with spectacular views across the pool to the sea beyond. This area has a light and airy feel due to the large patio doors which open to outside dining area and pool terrace. The living area has seating for four, a TV for use with the DVD player, mini music centre (radio/CD/tape player) and portable Ipod dock /auxiliary speakers. An attractive open-plan kitchen/diner is equipped with fridge-freezer, dishwasher, water cooler, oven and hob. Circular dining table with seating for four. Cloakroom with WC. There is also a utility cupboard housing the washing machine.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms (one double and one twin), each has an ensuite bathroom with bathtub and shower over, wc and vanity unit with inset basin.

Outside the villa;

Patio doors from the living room lead to the attractive outside space. The pool terrace is furnished with 4 sun loungers and mobile parasols and along with the shaded dining area with large marble table, which overlooks the private infinity pool and fabulous views beyond. The pool measures 6.7m x 3.8m (depth 1.45 m). To the side of the property there is an outside shower and a mobile gas barbecue. The villa is accessed via steps to the rear of the property down from a quiet residential road into a private, sun drenched courtyard area with wisteria, bougainvillea, lemon and orange trees. Also to the rear of the property is the cool, comfortable, open yet private, garden room which is generously proportioned, measuring 4.5 x 4.5 meters. It is furnished with a traditional Turkish wrought iron sofa and two chairs and is ideal for escaping the heat of the afternoon sun, perfect for reading, pre-dinner drinks....or even a quiet snooze. The outside space is further enhanced by a west facing balcony which runs along the front of the property and is furnished with tables and chairs. This is accessible from both bedrooms.

Please note that Villa Josephina is a strictly non smoking property. Due to the infinity pool, the villa is unsuitable for children under the age of 8 years. Price includes full air-conditioning, welcome pack and full weekly cleaning service with linen and towel change.

Facilties nearby;

There are two beach clubs in Kisla within a few minutes walk of the villa, where you can swim in the sea and enjoy swimming/ diving platforms

Kalkan itself has a modest pebbled beach next to the harbor. The stunning turquoise cove at Kaputas is 10 minutes drive away and the fabulous 18km sandy beach at Patara is 20 minutes drive, bus services operate to both of these.

The closest airport is Dalaman which is approximately 90 minutes drive from the villa. Several local companies offer a transfer service which we can book on your behalf. Although car hire is not essential, there is no doubt that hiring a vehicle for a day or two will allow you to make the most of this fascinating area by exploring further afield. Again, we can arrange car hire through a local firm on your behalf.

Kalkan town centre with its extensive range of restaurants, bars and shops is approx 2.5km from Villa Josephina. This equates to a 30 min walk, 5 min drive or 10 min by boat service which runs from the nearby beach club. There are also ample taxis available if required. Kisla itself has a small general store and the 'Beach Park' restaurant that serves breakfast, snacks, drinks, lunch and dinner. For a more selective, discerning dining experience, three excellent restaurants are within 5 minutes walk of the villa.
