Very Good

“Loved it......”

Reviewed 8 Aug 2012

If you're a family with kids, or young adults, holidaying with another family of the same kind then this property is ideal. Two spacious attached villas with 3 beds and 2 baths each, and a large pool and large terrace / outside dining area, mean that everyone can spread out and let their hair down, whilst each family still has their own privacy in their own villa. Also the view of the bay is fantastic, I just wish I had taken my binoculars! If you're reasonably fit you can walk down the steep hill to the town in the usually blistering heat, or you can get call a taxi which is quite cheap - about 12 Turkish Lira. But however fit you are you probably won't want to walk back up the hill after a day, or night, out, so a taxi is recommended. One villa has a hob, oven and microwave and the other hasn't, so if you know your neighbours then no problem, but if you don't and you stay in the villa without cooking facilities then you'll need to eat out to get a cooked meal. Due to the close proximity of the villas, the shared pool and terrace, and the fact that only one villa has cooking then this set-up is definitely best suited to large groups or two families. This is in no way a criticism of the property, just an observation, because I was in a two-family group and we had a brilliant time. I totally recommend this property and the resort of Kalkan. If you're eating in Kalkan then as a general rule of thumb the closer you get to the harbour the more expensive the restaurants become. There are some lovely places to eat in town before you get to the harbour which are a third of the price. As a group of 8 we were paying between 500 and 600 Turkish Lira for a meal and drinks in a harbour restaurant, but further up the hill in town unbelievably we were paying about 200 Turkish Lira. If you're eating out every night for 14 nights there's a significant saving to be made! Also the pool has no shallow end, but I can't say we found this a problem and we had a 9 year old who was always out of her depth, but was never out of the pool and loved every second of it.

Response from the owner Paul Thank you for the lovely review, we have done some updating since your stay and booth villas now have kitchens. Regards Alan
