Papaya Holiday Home is an Award winning Guest house;earning the Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor; and others awards from different travel companies. It is hosted in a charming family home conversion; 7 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms.The service is friendly and professional and it is a value for money mid-range accommodation. All meals including the breakfast is made from quality ingredients, fresh and delicious. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spotlessly clean. All bed linens are quality hotel bed linens.

We offer different levels of services; from single guests bookings of 1 bedroom with breakfast, to larger groups of 12 -18 guests wishing to rent the whole house for self catering.

The guest house is in the residential area of Muyenga, 15 minutes from City centre with characteristic greenery of Kampala hills. The atmosphere throughout Papaya is very relaxed and feels like a country home; The spacious bedrooms; the court yrd and outside dinning areas and where there is fantastic views of the lush and green hills of Kampala

Great views of Kampala's hills. The staff was very friendly, smiling and caring. The owner also cooked very tasty food too! Highly recommend!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Florence (the owner) a message.

If Florence (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
