The Space

Located on the upper west side of Kaslo BC, near the edge of the forest trails... Mountain View Lodge is a short distance (1.7 km's) to the lake and the amenities of town, 15 minutes to Ainsworth Hot Springs and just under an hour to Nelson BC (the small-arts-town capital of Canada).

Our extraordinary 900sq ft facility features contemporary timber frame and glass construction with a unique open concept design, lofty vaulted ceilings and fine woodworking throughout. A breathtaking 180 degree “panorama of windows” provide exceptional views of the Purcell and Selkirk Mountains ... uplifting the spirits and inspiring the imagination.

Located upstairs the Master Bedroom has a deluxe queen bed and a private balcony. The second bedroom has a comfortable double bed and a double fold-down futon couch /bed.

The main floor features 2 decks, a fully equipped kitchen and dining area.... a big comfy sofa and chairs and an efficient wood burning stove/fireplace to cozy up around.

Spacious main floor bathroom has a cast iron “claw-foot” bathtub and shower.

Additional amenities include a 36 inch plasma screen TV; stereo system and high speed wi-fi internet.

Interaction with Guests

Ashala is the on-site hostess who will be available to help you with any questions during the stay.

Philip, the host/owner, offers guiding for alpine hiking, mountain biking, and sailing excursions.

The Neighbourhood

As heritage capital of the Kootenays, Kaslo is very proud of its National Historic Sites – the SS Moyie Sternwheeler, the infamous Langham Theatre and the beautiful wooden City Hall, built in 1898 at the height of the silver rush.

This quaint mountain village is situated in one of the most exceptional recreation areas of north america. Boating. swimming, trophy fishing, a nine hole golf course, tennis courts and miles and miles of hiking, mountain biking, quading and cross country trails are just minutes away. We are avid outdoors enthusiasts and can provide information about local activities as well as offering bike rentals and the option to book a guided excursion on a 22ft. Sailboat.

How do damage deposits work?
