“Dream house”

Reviewed 7 Oct 2016

This house is a dream come true. I love the fact that even though the house is multi -story, it is very well layed out. We loved the living area on the top floor. And having separate bathrooms since it was just the two of us was quite a luxury. A very quiet home away from town but close enough to enjoy the restaurants and the theater. Two things that I regret. Not being able to stay in Keswick forever and not meeting Helen. Our many things go out to you and we wish you the very best in life. You have enriched hours. Yours truly, Eileen and Ken from Los Angeles California

Response from the owner Thank you Ken and Eileen, so pleased you enjoyed your stay and made use of the theatre. The living room on the top floor is a bonus and makes the most of the view. Best wishes, Helen

“The house which is everything it claims to be and much more”

Reviewed 16 Oct 2015

What a fantastic house with views to match. There is so much space that 7 of us were very pleasantly accommodated and not under each other's feet. The house and furnishings were of a very high standard and the kitchen perfectly equipped. Would have no hesitation in returning for another stay.

“Everything we expected and more”

Reviewed 15 Oct 2015

We enjoyed a stay here last weekend for a short break with the family. The house was everything we hoped for and more - the view from lounge is awesome. Spacious kitchen contained all that we needed and there is plenty information there regarding what to do in and around Keswick. First time staying in Lake District - will definitely not be the last!!

“Superior house in superb location”

Reviewed 7 Aug 2015

San Ging was an ideal house for us. Seven adults shared quality family time in this house which is on three levels so lots of space for everyone to do their own thing. Well equipped and well furnished house on the outskirts of Keswick with splendid views from kitchen and upstairs lounge. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Large family kitchen with a range gas cooker and every conceivable utensil you could wish for. We enjoyed visits to the spa through the associated membership of the house. Ideal location for walking in Borrowdale and further afield in the Lakes. 15 minute walk to Keswick but an uphill walk back.

“Lovely house”

Enjoyed a great weekend staying at San Ging, house is very stylish and spacious, all well equipped, particularly the kitchen. Great for a larger group. Location perfect for town and hills.

“Luxurious spacious house, a great base for exploring Keswick.”

Reviewed 17 Mar 2015

Our first trip to Keswick and we couldn't have wished for better. As everyone has already commented it does actually look like the photos and we had an excellent stay. The underfloor heating was luxurious and the views from the kitchen and living room really made the house special. There is a fabulous freestanding bath, and a very decent shower, ideal after a hard days walking and we always got the woodburner fired up each evening. Logs can be bought from the garage down the road or you might want to bring your own. The kitchen was very well equipped, everything you could need. We really appreciated the attention to detail and the welcome bread & milk when we arrived :-) The three main bedrooms are a very good size ( 2 doubles & a twin) and the 4th is a smaller room with a bunkbed, ideal for children (or adults!). The beds were very very comfy. The living room, kitchen and extra living area are all large mean there is plenty of space for a group. It's really not far into Keswick town centre at all only 10-15 minutes walk, but yes it is uphill on the way back but that didn't bother us at all. Helen was very efficient with her communications and in returning the bond. We had no need to contact her during our stay but I felt sure that if we had needed to any issues would have been dealt with promptly. There is plenty of helpful information in the house regards the local area, my only regret is not getting the chance to use the free Spa membership! We would definitely book again.

“Fantastic property - would definitely return.”

Reviewed 18 Feb 2015

We booked our long weekend away quite late on but the whole booking process was quick and easy. On arrival at the property, we were so happy to have chosen San Ging. The property is very spacious, well equipped and, not only stunning inside, but has amazing views from the living room and kitchen. We could not have wished for more. The weather was cold but very sunny and we completed some lovely long walks around Derwent water. We had some very tasty meals in Keswick and the taxi in and out of the village was only £3. A great weekend in an amazing property.

“Great house, lovely views”

Perfect for our trip to Keswick, lovely house with plenty of space for us all, beautiful views down the valley, walkable to Keswick centre.

“REWARDING STAY IN SCENIC KESWICK COTTAGE”

Reviewed 6 Nov 2014

Booked this spacious, well equipped cottage in Keswick for a 3 night stay in November. The location is great; not far from town centre with stunning views across the immediate area. The booking procedure was very simple and guided by a considerate owner. The cottage itself lacked nothing in terms of provisions. The decor was fairly modern and clean. The bedrooms were tidy and comfortable. The one drawback was the 4th bedroom being with bunks which was more suited to teenage children than adults. However this is a minor gripe as the rest of the accommodation was of a high standard. The owner also offered to post a camera charger which was left behind. Will stay here again if we are back in the area.

“The most beautiful house in Keswick”

Reviewed 22 Oct 2014

What a wonderful place to stay. The views from the house were breathtaking. It is beautifully appointed, spacious, warm and comfortable. Well situated for excellent walking and exploring in our favourite area. The weather was fine all week - no rain or wind with plenty of sunshine. Perfect! Many thanks to Helen. How can you bear to allow holiday guests to stay in your stunning house? A real gem - every member of the family would like to return. PS The website provides loads of accurate information and superb photographs.
