Lydia's River Cottage is located on the banks of the River Greta, enjoying the best of both worlds, nestling in it’s rural setting by the river but in easy walking distance of Keswick town centre (around 10 minutes flat walk by the river).

Please note, the exact address for supermarket deliveries is:- Lydia's River Cottage, 8 Lydia's Cottages, Penrith Road, Keswick, CA12 4JY.

Dedicated private off road parking for two cars to the front of the cottage.

Downstairs is open plan with a very nice kitchen dining area to the rear of the property featuring a fully fitted kitchen with a dishwasher, washing machine and all modern conveniences.

To the front of the property we have a comfortable sitting room, a remote control gas coal effect stove and although the cottage is fully centrally heated living flames create a lovely focal point.

WiFi is complementary and unlimited (approx 25 Mbps), and there is a 40 inch smart TV and DAB radio, bird books, walks books and a set of binoculars.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms and the bathroom, to the rear is a double bedroom with a standard double bed and to the front a twin bedded room with two three foot wide single beds. All beds are of "Sealy" manufacture and our guests love them.

The bathroom has washbasin, toilet and a large shower with choice of rainfall or regular shower heads.

Bed linen, tea towels, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, hand wash liquid, home made cake and a hair dryer are all included in the price

Please Note towels are not included, we can supply good quality towels (two per guest) at a cost of £4.00 per guest.

We look after Lydia's River Cottage personally and like to make every guest welcome, though due to varying arrival times we leave the keys in a key safe to the right of the front door, you will receive an email two days prior to the start of your holiday with the key safe code. We are usually on hand in the event of a problem with the property or if you simply need some information on the area and will help if we can. Full contact details are in the cottage.

Hi Malc, Thank you very much for the lovely review, Lydia's was a bit of a labour of love as we bought in flooded near derelict condition, all that eventually remained are the walls, one door and one window, even the roof was replaced, I used to fantasise about finding something that was not worn out/broken/outdated but sadly in did not come to pass.
