Minutes from the lake and the ski slopes, Tahoe Sol is a modern mountain home well suited to relaxing and entertaining - indoors and out!

The sandy beaches of Lake Tahoe are a mile away and the highly popular NorthStar Ski Resort is 10 minutes door to door. There are many wonderful hiking and biking opportunities nearby – several where you can embark from straight outside the property. Tahoe Sol is a great vacation home whether a reunion, a retreat with friends, or just a weekend respite for your family. For your next vacation – consider Tahoe Sol as the perfect place to soak up the sun, rejuvenate the spirit and to find peace and serenity from the stresses of daily life.

NOTE: For those seeking long term rental or ski leases please be advised that Tahoe Sol is not available for those opportunities as we prefer to enjoy our home ourselves from time to time :) .

Walk onto our front porch which overlooks a beautifully landscaped yard that backs up to open space and forest lands beyond. In the Fall, Spring and Summer this is an idyllic setting to both unwind and play. Kick back in a hammock placed amidst a semi-circle of aspen trees, imbibe a cool refreshing drink on the flagstone patio, gather around a fire and roast marshmallows with friends and family just under the forest canopy. Kids will enjoy stretching their imaginations out on the fort/play structure and exploring the surrounding woods and nearby seasonal creek. In the Winter, there is plenty of room for snow play, sledding and starting off on a snowshoe adventure right out the front steps!

Open the front door and you are in our foyer where you can kick off your boots and shoes, and hang your coats and snow gear and head up the staircase to the Great Room. There you will find a light, airy, spacious room with high ceilings and many windows overlooking the lawn and greenery of the forest. The Great Room includes a well-appointed gourmet kitchen with high-end stainless steel appliances and counter bar that is open to the dining and living areas. The living and dining areas are comfortable, inviting spaces with ample seating and decorated in timeless mission/arts and crafts style. There is seating for 8 at the dining table, 4 at the breakfast bar and an option to add a second dining table for up to 6 more people if needed. Off the Great Room living area is a deck with a gas grill where you can dine al fresco and unwind in a deluxe hot tub under beautiful starry skies.

Upstairs you will find two of the four bedrooms Tahoe Sol has to offer. The first is a luxurious master suite with a king bed and ensuite bath that includes a spa bathtub and separate steam shower. The other is a smaller room designed to be flexible for a wide range of needs. A queen-size Murphy wall bed turns this into a comfortable 4th bedroom. Alternatively we have used it as a nursery, an upstairs playroom for children– and for those who absolutely must bring their work with them – a great home office. A half-bath and full laundry off the kitchen completes the upstairs.

Downstairs off the foyer, you enter our family/media room – a great secondary space for kids and adults alike to play games, watch tv and just hang out. The sofa in this room converts to a queen-sized bed for additional sleeping options. Downstairs are two additional bedrooms. The first bedroom off the family room has a king size bed. The second bedroom is set up to accommodate two XL twin beds with twin trundles that can be set up in multiple configurations- from a generous king-size bed, to up to four separate twin beds. This second bedroom has a small private deck overlooking the lawn and forest. A full bathroom services the downstairs space.

There is good off-street parking – with two spaces inside the attached garage as well as 3-5 spaces on the driveway and adjacent gravel area. Tahoe Sol offers a bonus feature in the winter, providing a radiant heated driveway that minimizes ice and reduces the need for heavy snow shoveling!

Tahoe Sol is a great value for those who are seeking touches of luxury and comfort that you might find at a high-end resort. The décor is tasteful, soothing, with finishes to satisfy any discerning traveler seeking a sophisticated, yet comfortable respite. All sheets, towels and linens are hotel-quality with down or down alternative pillows and comforters. There are flat-screen TV’s with cable in the upstairs and downstairs living areas and master bedroom suite and free wi-fi internet throughout.

Tahoe Sol is set up to cater to families with young children. The home is generally childproof and relatively free of sharp edges and breakables. PacknPlays, baby gates, high chairs, toys for kids of all ages are available to our guests.
