Edinburgh is only 45 minutes away using our park and ride buses.
The cottage is located in the old wynd of Kinross, just 5 minutes walk to Loch Leven you have the benefits of the countryside yet being located in the old wynds of Kinross where you are close to local amenities such as shops and restaurants.
For those who wish to work from the cottage we have high speed sky fibre (SKYXTSZ9) with an office space on mezzanine level where you will find a desk and chair. After a few hours working why not take a walk into the loch to get a break or pop into the hot tub to relax.
Enjoy a relaxing break in kinross only 40 minutes drive from Edinburgh, St Andrew’s, Stirling Castle, The Kelpies and Gleneagles.The cottage is in the old town area of kinross which is on the edge of the Loch Leven National nature reserve and the RSPB.
The cottage has one double room upstairs with a full bathroom and an office/work area. Downstairs there is an open plan kitchen /living room with a double sofa bed. On this level there is also a shower room with a large walk on shower and a utility room. Ideal for two couples or a family, as we have two shower/ bathrooms. We provide high quality hand soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash by a local company Siabann.

The open plan living area has dining table suitable for four with French doors that lead to a private courtyard garden. In the courtyard garden there is a patio table with a sun parasol, as it is a sun trap.
We also have a wood fired HOT TUB in this courtyard which can be booked at an additional cost of £35 for 2-3 nights or £55 for 4-7 nights. This cost covers cleaning, filling and logs. The tub takes 2-3 hours to heat up, however this is dependant on the outside temperature. We recommend guets feeding it wood every 20 minutes to get it up to temperature. Please request hot tub when booking, thank you.
Should you wish to cycle around the Loch we have two bikes and helmets you are welcome to use, just let us know when booking so we can have them ready for you.

The cottage is in quiet lane just off main high street where you can find local shops and places to eat. Each month there is a local farmers and craft market in our high street. The town has its own butcher, fishmonger and larder/ deli all along the high street abd just two minutes from the cottage. For supermarkets we have a Coop on the high street and a Sainsburys just as you enter Kinross. For eating or drinking out and about, Advent Guard and Unorthodox Roasters are just a couple of the lovely coffee shops on the high street. For bar meals we recommend, The Muirs, The Green hotel and The Courthouse. For a good steak or all day dining we recommend the Kirklands Hotel. If you fancy a walk, Milnathort has a great coffee shop called ‘Heaven Scent’ which has great afternoon teas. Along the loch you can access The Larder for a coffee or the RSPB coffee hut. Kinross a,so has its own micro brewery called Loch Leven Brewery which is located opposite the Green hotel. The Tao room is open most days and well worth a visit. This summer we also have a beer garden with weekend BBQs.
Kinross has 2 golf courses although there are about 40 within driving distance should you be a keen golfer. The town also ha a swimming pool and community sports centre and library. Tennis courts and a bowling green. A coop and sainsburys offer good quality food shopping as well as a local butcher and fishmonger who are located on the high street. The town has restaurants, pubs and a range of coffee shops as well as an outdoor beer garden open for the summer from Thursday to Sunday.
This traditional stone cottage has been totally refurbished and has all modern facilities to make a great holiday including a fully equipped kitchen, smart TV, DVD player, fibre WiFi, Freeview TV and chrome cast. We have a selection of books, box games and DVDs for adults and children.
For babies, there is a travel cot and high chair in request.
