Beycik is a charming mountain village near Kemer in the region of Antalya, Turkey. It is situated on the slopes of mount Olympos (Tahtalidag) in the Bey mountain range; an area often referred to as the Alps of Turkey where the pine-cladmountains sweep down to the sparkling clear waters of the Mediterranean. It is approximately 600m above sea level and has a humidity level of between 20 and 25%. This combined with its peaceful, idyllic location make it a popular destination for both local and foreign visitors who can enjoy mountain and sea sports from here. The clean, fresh air invites you to take relaxing morning and evening walks, which can be of great benefit to your health and help to cure respiratory, dietary, metabolic problems and even some allergies. It is very common to meet people in this area who have turned 90 years of age. The upper parts of the village have a very fine views of the sea which is just 2kms away as the crow flies; 15kms by road. Most popular beaches are in the same region. There are 2 grosseries are only walk away distance. Toros Country Village is also 15 minutes by car to both Phaselis and Olympos- which are the most popular historical places of west coast of Antalya. Ulupinar that is very popular with its many restaurants located on rivers and waterfalls are 10 minutes distance to Toros Country Village.
Naturally the village has all the usual amenities of modern life; fresh drinking water, electricity, fiber optic telephone links, an asphalt road etc. The asphalt road makes access to Kemer and Kumluca very fast and easy and good shopping areas can be found in both towns. The village is 20 kms from Kemer which takes 15 minutes by car, 25 kms from Kumluca ( the land of the citrus groves) which takes 20 minutes by car and 65 kms from Antalya which takes 45 minutes.
The main road widening and the cable car projects are completed and they too will contribute to the area.
Kemer, Kumluca and Antalya all have both modern private and state hospitals and the village can be reached by an ambulance in 15 minutes should an emergency occur. The nearest airport is in Antalya, which is both fast and easy to reach.
Beycik is a very safe village. According to a retired resident from Nordics at the site, the only incident in the last 10 years was between two villagers who were disputing their childrens' marriage!
