From the owner

Chalet Rhaetia was built in 2003. The family of the builder lives next door, so the standard of workmanship is immaculate! The chalet is wooden and built in the traditional style as a family holiday home for the owner, not a commercial let. It is therefore equipped to a much higher standard than ordinary self-catering accommodation. It has been awarded a "Four Star Luxury" rating by the local Tourist Board. Shops and the nearest mountain lift are just 5 minutes' walk away, as is the local train station.

The view is a south facing panoramic view of mountains - glorious in summer of winter. So often the views are just of other buildings in the resort. Not in this case! Take a look at the photos.

The chalet is very unusual in having its own private "wellness centre". A Swiss term for a sauna and steam room, both of which are private for this chalet.

Your don't need a car for a skiing holiday from our chalet - a big money saver. We never hire a car in winter! The nearest ski area is a "mere" 80km (bigger than many resorts). Get on the bus outside the door, and in 5 minutes you are at the cable car base for another 240km of skiing! English agent (fluent in German).

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Mark (the owner) a message.

If Mark (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
