This Charming flatlet is around the corner from the beach, just 60m away . We are in walking distance to the most consistent surf spot in South Africa as well as many other surf breaks which makes our property ideal for the surfing traveller. We have amazing, kite surfing beaches nearby too!

Picture falling asleep to the sound of waves, walking round the corner for a surf, walking to one of the local restaurants for a great meal or relaxing with a kahuna massage from one of our local massage therapists.

Expect a rustic chic beach cottage feel, with white floors and walls, clean crisp linen and towels. This is a place to unwind and with being so close to the beach, restaurants and shops no car is needed....

It is ideal for a couple or solo traveller but can accommodate up to four guests. It features a small kitchenette with a bar fridge, an oven, a stove, and is totally self contained. There is also a dining table and a lounge which leads onto a private deck with outdoor furniture.

The cottage is located in a small seaside town named Kommetjie, Cape Town is only a 40 min drive to the city. There are many activities and tourist attractions in and around Kommetjie. Cape Point is close by. Activities include horse riding, surfing, kite surfing, scuba diving, stand up paddle boarding, sailing, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, bird watching, kayaking, and swimming.

The owners are a family of surfers and are happy to guide you as to where the best surf spots and times for surfing them are. Kommetjie is known for having many different breaks and having lots of consistent surf , so it is the ideal place for a surf holiday. With Long beach (the most consistent surf break in Cape Town ) being a short walk around the corner you are literally in surfers paradise. We can also take you out for a surf according to your abilities and preferences at a small fee.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

If Hildegarde (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
