PICTURESQUE - SERENE - TRANQUILITY --

Only 30 minutes drive north of Kota Kinabalu. We are situated in a beautiful Lagoon part of the Magnificent MENKABONG RIVER SYSTEM and near to the 5* Shangri La Rasa Ria resort hotel and the Dalit Bay Golf club .

The area has an abundance of wildlife including our resident Water Buffalos, Sea Eagles, Kingfishers, Hornbills, Fireflies etc

The Water chalet bedroom room is located off a private jetty. The room is furnished to a very high standard, and has one queen size bed, separate dressing room and En Suite bathroom with rain shower. Private balcony.

Mini Fridge TV, DVD with a wide selection of films for your enjoyment.

Bath robes, slippers, toiletries, hairdryer and iron.

Air conditioning and ceiling fan.

Complimentary selection of assorted teas, coffee, water and soft drinks available.

You will wake up and enjoy stunning views from your bedroom with the back drop of Mount Kinabalu in the distance.

View the resident Water Buffalo, Horbills and much more all from your private balcony.

There is also a lovely fully equipped guests kitchen, lounge / day room located just off the water chalet bedroom.

On the upper deck of the houseboat there is a bedroom with queen size bed and is furnished to a very high standard.

Air conditioning, mini fridge DVD, Mini safe, iron hairdryer, Bath robes, slippers,.Tea and coffee and complimentary soft drinks are provided.

PLEASE NOTE; The private shower room and toilet for the upper deck houseboat bedroom is located on the main deck.

THE HOUSEBOAT UPPER DECK AREA

Guests have full private use of all the (upper deck section of the houseboat.)

Very spacious upper deck with ample seating area, dining table and bar. There is also a sun deck area with sunbeds and a retractable Sun Canopy.

**IMPORTANT NOTE**

We can accommodate up to 5 guests at any one time BUT ONLY if in the same party. Therefore if only TWO GUESTS book they then have full sole use of the chalet and the Houseboat facilities.

Take a swim or a leisurely walk ,just sit back unwind and at the end of the day take in the sunset and enjoy a complimentary cocktail or two at the upper deck Bar.

Take a 2 hourRiver cruise you will be picked up and return from the Water chalet pontoon. Cruise a long the Magnificent and memorable Menkabong river, enjoying true nature and wonderful scenery.

Excellent Hiking trails close by

Tuaran market town is close by and has many restaurants and shops, home of the special Tuaran Mee noodles. A must try - Delicious!

Swimming is completely safe in the lagoon (Beach towels provided)

Fishing in the lagoon or on our private lake for the real fishing enthusiast.

Visit the Mari Mari Cultural village, see traditional longhouses etc.

Visit the nearby 5* Shangri La hotel and Spa. As our guests you are entitled to use the food and beverage outlets and also excellent water sport facilities are available.

Play Golf at nearby Dalit Bay voted "Best in Sabah " As our guests you are entitled to substantial reductions in green fees.

Car hire is recommended We can arrange excellent low cost car rental pick up from the airport or location of your choice,. Transfers can be arranged from Kota Kinabalu on request at very reasonable rates. Or a private car and driver can be arranged for your stay upon request. Grab car is available in and around the area.

Deborah and Phillip are available to advise and assist if necessary. However guests will have full privacy ,the guest accommodations are completely separate from the owners accommodation.

“The Perfect Holiday”

Wow, where to start, the perfect location on a beautiful lagoon , every single amentity you need, lovely hosts and to cap it all a fabulous seafood restaurant within 5 minutes walking distance. This lovely water chalet is 30 minutes drive from Kota Kinabalu airport and was very easy to find. There was a wonderful warm welcome from hosts Deborah and Philip, who were always on hand to help organise things, there was a welcome back, bread, milk, juice, cereal, coffee etc . The lagoon is safe for swimming and we spent hours just floating around and cooling off in it. Deborah organised an amazing trip with Borneo Sun, Sand and Boats, where we spent the day snorkelling over the coral reef, it was like being in Finding Nemo, Mike and Charlotte also did the island to Island zip wire. The sunrise and sunsets from the boat are breathtaking and this was the perfect place to relax before heading into the rain forest. We will definitely be returning...

How do damage deposits work?

If Deborah (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
