Our two cosy holiday houses are lying in the village of Eski Koycegiz, within the heart of a nature reserve. They are surrounded by approximately 930 square meters of natural garden with several different tropical trees, including palms, bananas, eucalyptus, lemon and orange trees. Koycegiz Lake, which has a connection to the Mediterranean Sea, is only a five minutes walk away. You can explore the lake with a fishing boat and visit to ancient thermal bath or a natural sulphur bath en route!
We only rent our houses privately and not through any commercial agencies. This guarantees private and pleasant ambiance for all travelers, just for singles as well as for couples or small and larger families. The two houses can accommodate up to 10 people.
Terraces and gardens invite you to spend time relaxing around the House or even sleep out in the open air if you wish. Camping in the garden is a special joy for the children.
In Koycegiz you can experience nature at its best. The two houses and the garden are managed according to ecologically sensitive principles. For example: we don't use any pesticides against insects or weeds in the garden, so you can eat our organically-grown fruits. There are almost no mosquitoes during the area. For warm water preparation we use a solar heating facility, which therefore can be operated by electricity if required. Our drinking water comes straight from natural areas in the nearby mountains.
-Amber 1, our larger house, provides space for six people on 135 square meters. It has a spacious living room with a high ceiling. There are four bedrooms: two, one single and one double room on the first floor and another two rooms, one single and one double, on the ground floor. There is a fully-equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a shower and lavatory on the ground floor. There are therefore two terraces, one on the ground and one on the first floor each measuring about 15 square meters.

-Amber 2, our smaller house offers space for 2-3 persons. This house what newly built in 2006. It is made out of cedar wood and has a living space of 50 square meters. On the ground floor you will find a fully-equipped kitchen with a natural stone basement and so a bathroom with a shower and lavatory. The bedroom is directly under the roof and can accommodate two people comfortably. Amber 2 has a very special which provide you with oriental and most natural atmosphere with large windows beautiful views of the garden and the natural surroundings.

-You reach Villa amber 1 and 2 through the "Eski Köycegizk' ('old Köycegiz') village over a short path along idyllic stream. (For the location of Villa amber and Eski Köycegiz please see the map under "drive" in the information section of this page.)
Old Köycegiz with its ancient ruins is peacefully located between a large lake and mountains. It is a marvelous place to relax in the midst of pristine nature.
The village of Eski Köyycegiz is inhabited by about 50 families. You can buy locally produced milk, eggs, butter, seasonal vegetables, home-made bread and yoghurt from the villagers on request. Breakfast, lunch or dinner can be prepared with a day it advance notice. Your (entire) whole stay can thus be on a half or full board basis as requested.
The town of Koycegiz with its wonderful bazaar, which offers everything you may require, is about 10kms away. To get to Köycegiz you can either rent a car or boat, or you can take the mini bus that goes to Koycegiz-every Monday morning (only on Mondays). If you are a hiker you can so walk three kilometres along the lake side to the main road and take a 'dolmus' (shared taxi) from there.
Koycegiz read in on area with very ancient culture: the ancient village of Caunos on the south side of the lake is mentioned in the text of Homer. Excavations conducted by the English archaeologist Hoskyn have proved that what the area settled around 3,000 years ago. Today you can visit well secondly temples on acropolis and amphitheatre. In the nearer surroundings of Koycegiz you want so find ancient thermal baths and natural sulphur springs. The thermal springs of Sultaniye are reknown for their beneficial effects for various diseases and good for the health and beauty of the skin.
The lake area shelters many rare bird species, turtles and other animals in its reed areas. With a little luck you may spot the rare loggerhead turtle, Caretta caretta.
You can reach a 4 kilometer long sandy beach at the point to fight back the lake connects with the Mediterranean Sea - so it has fresh water of the lake on one side and the salt water of the sea on the other side.
The nearest town on the seashore are Dalyan, Fethiye and Marmaris at about it helped on to hour to hour drive from Koycegiz. They are somewhat 'touristy', but of so offer some attractions. In Dalyan, for example, you can find rock tombs and a wonderful ancient town. The dalaman airport is about 25 kilometres from Villa amber.
