Cotton Fields is a holiday home in Malaysia, that offers a comfortable stay in the ambience of a Malaysian Indian contemporary home. Cotton Fields, which is nestled in Bangsar, an affluent residential area in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, gives you the feeling of returning to your own home, with serene surrounding and a friendly neighbourhood. When you are unwinding and relaxing, you get to also experience rich Malaysian hospitality and way of life.

Cotton Fields is loosely translated from Jalan Medang Kapas, the street where the holiday home is situated. This is a perfect place to go for a jog or cycling, as it is quiet and serene. The holiday home offers short-term rentals and is situated away from the heart of Bangsar, where the busy streets lined with cafes, restaurants and shops are, assuring you a good night rest. During the day time, there is also a security guard who makes sure that there are no trespassers or strange characters around.

During your stay in Cotton Fields, you will get to experience Malaysian lifestyle.

When you walk into any Malaysian home, removing your shoes or footwear at the entrance of your host’s home is a practice that is present till today. Once you walk in, you are greeted by the host. Once you have warmed up, you would be taken to your room for your much deserved good rest. In a Malaysian home, televisions are placed in the living room, as based on our cultures, bedrooms are used purely for getting a peaceful rest or sleep and any external noise is least desired.

Intertwined with the spoils of modernity, you will still be able to connect to the outer world through WiFi services throughout the home.

Cotton Fields comes with 3 room types that appeal to different guests. We have 2 rooms (Lemongrass and Lavender) with shared bathroom while the Master Bedroom (Saffron) is a large room that comes with a private bathroom. Saffron is located on the third floor while Lemongrass and Lavender are on the second floor.

Saffron is for couples or others who want total privacy while Lemongrass, aaaah...its just for people who wanna leave behind work and house chores and just relax! Lavender is for business travelers who want a workstation to work on comfortably.

Romantic Honeymoon - it is suitable to get the privacy away from hotels. Pick the Master Bedroom (Saffron) and request the host to organise some special treats for your partner, if you can splurge on the little extras that will create a memorable stay.

Idyllic Holidays - save on expensive hotels, and spend on food, fun and frolicking in the city. This place gives you the experience living in a Malaysian neighbourhood. You can book the whole house for a family getaway.

Girls' Nite Out - a place for old school or college friends, best buddies, or working colleagues to hang out. You can rent the whole house and facilities, and feel comfortable like you are in your own home.

Mum-in-Law is in Town! - Pamper your family from abroad or outstation with a good rest. Cotton Fields is "in-laws friendly" and gives them a good rest when they are down town to visit their loved ones!

Take Work Back Home - Cotton Fields would be a conducive place for project teams or individuals to be isolated from office issues and busy schedules, so that you could focus on getting your project completed. If you are tired, just make a cup of hot drink and relax.

In the nutshell, we prefer guests who can stay at Cotton Fields for more than two days or those who are renovating their apartment/house and would like to an alternative accommodation.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Subashini (the owner) a message.

If Subashini (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
