La Tavellerie is a beautiful and comfortable old stone farmhouse set in extensive grounds. Its perfect for extended family holidays or groups of friends.

The house is pretty, light, comfortable and spacious. It is simply decorated with some antique furniture, and has the feel of a relaxed family home. The kitchen is huge with a long table specially made for it in the traditional style of the area. The kitchen has worktops made from a walnut tree from our property, a 5 burner gas hob and a large multi-function oven. The living room has two sofas, chairs, and a superb open fire which is lovely in the colder months of the year. It has double doors which open onto the large terrace. All bedrooms are large and comfortable. There is one double bedroom downstairs, with an en-suite bathroom, and the others are upstairs. The house has 2 staircases which makes it great fun to play games in!

If you like having plenty of outside space and natural beauty this is the house for you. There are gardens around the house, meadows, and even a small wood - 7 acres in all. There's lots of garden furniture - a table and chairs on the terrace and another under the trees for the heat of the day. There are sun loungers at the pool and hammocks hanging under the beech trees. And a swing seat at the top of the hill to sit in the shade and admire the view. A swing for the children hangs from a lime tree. Children love playing in the little forest. There is ample room in the gravelled courtyard for cars to park and turn. We have converted one of the barns into a large 'games room' which leads on to a new terrace overlooking the meadows and gardens.

Why can't I call Clarissa (the owner) before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Clarissa (the owner) a message.

If Clarissa (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
