Maison Violette is a large Art Deco style property at the end of a quiet tree lined lane. It has been renovated to a high standard with a mixture and vintage and contemporary style. This house is especially large, light and airy.
On the ground floor there is a well equipped kitchen with everything the keen cook requires, including modern dual fuel cooker, fridge freezer, solid wooden work tops and butchers block. This leads on to a separate dining room with an extra large family dining table and a large window with stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
Also situated on the ground floor is an enormous living room beautifully lit with 4 double french windows and amazing views. There is also UK satellite television, dvd/cd player with surround sound and a selection of dvds and cds and a separate stereo with iPod/mp3 capabilities.
There is a study/bedroom with desk, free wifi and double sofa bed, also french doors that open onto a large wooden deck with dining table and a gated wooden staircase that leads directly down to a large enclosed garden. This is perfect for leisurely breakfasts, long lunches and candlelit evening meals.
The extensive surrounding garden has plenty of shady seating areas and room for children to play safely. There are also two sets of double gates which create a safe, child friendly environment.
A variety of outdoor furniture and a barbecue are available.
The bedrooms are spacious and bright and there is a large modern family sized bathroom on the first floor complete with bath/shower facilities. On the ground floor there is a smaller shower room and separate lavatory.
This house is a family holiday home where our two small grandchildren spend many happy hours.
The property is situated on the edge of the charming, small village of Sussac. The village has a small shop which sells fresh bread and groceries, next door to a very good family restaurant.
A short walk from the house takes you down a pretty path to the local tree lined bathing lake that has a small cafe, life guard, children's play area, pedalos, canoes and beach.
Chateauneuf la Foret is only a ten minutes drive away and has a large supermarket, banks, chemist, large swimming lake and a mixture of shops, bars and restaurants.
Only 30 minutes drive away is the fantastic Lac de Vassiviere with its range of watersports, sailing, cycling, treetop adventure park and contemporary art gallery. The lake is surrounded by a pretty little villages with their own selection of cafe's, bars and restaurants.
