Converted Barn - luxury accommodation situated in a lovely elevated village with an 11th Century Norman church. Our small village is nestled in the picturesque rolling countryside of the the Pergord Limousin Naturel Parc, less than 5 minutes from bakers, grocers, butchers, chemist, bar and restaurants.

During the summer peak rental period, the Converted Barn can be offered for rent as one unit with the 5 bedroom Ancienne Mairie (also advertised on this site under property reference 6545854) but is available separately on request at other times of the year. The property is equipped and appointed to a very high standard.

Located 10-15 minutes from towns offering a diverse range of interest. Chalus, an historic town where King Richard (the lion heart) was mortally wounded. St Yreix La Perche, an old market town with it's weekly day and evening markets and origin for the famous Limoges porcelain, also Jumilhac Le Grand with it's stunning Chateaux. Although steeped in history, they offer a range of other facilities such as banks, supermarkets, bars and restaurants. For the more young at heart or years, nearby villages provide lakes with sandy beaches and an array of outdoor leisure activities, including mini golf, Acro Bois, paintball, swimming and Velo Rail (cycling on the old railway track).

The lanes and Natural Park are ideal for rambling, walking and cycling right from the doorstep.

If you are willing to travel a little further, the international war memorial town of Oradour-Sur-Glane is about 35 minutes drive. The town has been preserved as a very moving memorial to the villagers massacred by the Nazi's and has remained unchanged since June 10th 1944. Just 40 minutes drive is the historic and beautiful town of Brantome, known as the little Venice of the Dordogne. This provides a great day out, whether you just want to dine by the river in one of the many excellent restaurants, or take a leisurely 2 to 3 man canoe down the river into Brantome. The more major cities of Limoges and Perigeaux can be reached in about 40 and 60 minutes respectively.

If your interests stretch to fine wine, then Bergerac and Bourdeaux and their world class vineyards as well as other attractions are about 1.5 – 2 hours drive. The famous Dordogne valley containing a stunning list of historic tourist 'must see' sites is about 1.5 hours drive where you can visit (to name just a few), the stunning Pilgrimage site of Rocamadour, the beautiful valley of the 5 chateaux, the stunning underground canals of Padirac and the historic ancient towns of Sarlat and Domme overlooking the magnificent Dordogne river.

How do damage deposits work?
