Awesome Pool, Patios, BBQ's and large fenced yard with fruit trees located in a Safe and Nice residential area that is Perfectly Located to be your "Home Base" for all of your vacation excursions!

We have arranged with many local restaurants FREE delivery for pool side breakfast, lunch and dinner and we are always willing to jump on a blender to mix up some fun drinks...we even have the little umbrellas!

TIP: Don't forget to "stock up" on your favorite spirits or wines at the Duty-Free shops in the Belize Int'l Airport as the cost outside, at the stores is at least 3X higher then there.

Need a rental car? Skip the airport hassle's. We offer a fully insured clean and reliable 2010 Kia Sportage, only for our guests! $65.00usd per day, the best rate in Belize!

We can comfortably accommodate 4 persons here in the Bungalow. If there are more in your party, (up to 7 total) we have a terrific Queen bedroom and also a single, twin bedroom in the main house with their own private bathrooms. Just let us know and we can work out that arrangement, No Problem! After all, the more the merrier, right!

General Information:

There are so many fascinating places and adventures to be had in this beautiful country that it is virtually limitless. We can offer tons of free advice on where to go and what to do on the mainland and point you in the right direction for the Cayes.

We are located about 2 miles from the Phillip Goldson International Airport and provide FREE courtesy pick up and drop off for you during your stay. Just send us your flight information prior your arrival.

The Gecko Bungalow is about 9 miles from Belize City, in the town of Ladyville. From here you are 1.5 hours away from Corozal Belize and Chetumal Mexico, just over the border to the North. Three hours to the South, enjoy the sands of Placencia and another hour past that to beautiful Punta Gorda.

Water taxis can motor you out to the "laid back" island of Caye Caulker or for a little faster pace, fun trip to San Pedro on Ambergris Caye. You can also opt to fly out to the islands via hopper plane on Maya Air or Tropic Air. Trips to Placencia, Dangriga, Hopkins, Punta Gorda and Corozal, etc. can be easily accessed. We can transport you into Belize City to the water taxis or the Municipal Airport for your flight at a cost of US$25.00 per couple, each way.

Let us know if you would like to have snacks or refreshments ready and waiting in the fridge for your arrival. All beverage products (Sodas, Ice cold Belikin beers, wonderful Local Wines and Liquor are available), chips & salsa, cheese, goodies…really anything you can think of, we can have waiting. For your convenience, receipts will be provided and be billed separately. 20% surcharged added.

If you would like us to prepare a hearty breakfast on the patio, we will be more than happy to provide that also. Prices vary but we'll cover that when you get here. Note: 24 hour advanced notice required to provide the freshest ingredients possible.

We are suitable for kids to stay but as a "heads-up", please note that our pooch is a full sized dog (Labrador) and he likes to play.

Sorry, but we decided that other pets cannot be allowed. We tried that before and it just didn't work out well. Our dog hates to be shut indoors while a new friend is outside.

Smoking is permitted outside on the patio but not inside the Bungalow or our rental car if you use it.

Why can't I call Michelle (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How can I retract my booking request?

You’ll need to contact Michelle (the owner) to do this. Send them a message in Manage your holiday booking or through the contact form on this page.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Michelle (the owner) a message.

If Michelle (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
