Casa Farol is a lovely airy and spacious villa in a great location. Free Wi-Fi

On the ground level of the villa there is the open plan lounge and dining room the dining table has seating for 8 people, the living room has 2 x 3 seater sofas, satellite TV, with BBC and ITV channels, a play station 2, a DVD player and separate CD player, there are patio doors from the living area opening out to the covered swimming pool terrace.

The modern fully fitted kitchen offers washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and all the usual kitchen utensils, there is a door from the kitchen which leads out to the back of the villa where the built in BBQ and ping pong table are situated.

There is a seperate W/C on the ground floor as well as the 3 bathrooms listed. There is one double bedroom downstairs with sliding doors out to the pool area, and a full bathroom just across the hall. On the first floor there are two twin bedrooms with fitted wardrobes and sliding doors out to a shared terrace both the twin bedrooms share a full bathroom in the hall and the master bedroom has a King size bed with a dressing area and full en-suite bathroom. Patio doors from the Master suite lead out onto a balcony that overlooks the pool area and you can see the lighthouse at Ponte de Piedade in the distance.

The free form swimming pool is surrounded with sunbathing terraces equipped with 8 sun-bed’s. The pool has a deep adults pool and a shallow children's splash pool. There is a covered terrace off from the lounge overlooking the swimming pool equipped with outdoor dining furniture for al fresco dining and there is a built in BBQ to the side of the villa off from the kitchen and an outside ping pong table at the back of the villa (pool size 10 x 5 meters in a free form shape, pool heating is available for a small extra charge)

Thank you for your review, sorry the villa didn't meet your expectations but for the benefit of other clients I need to point out that the pool is attended to by a company weekly and there is no issue with the water or pumps, all is functioning and chlorine levels are as they should be, it can get quite windy and leaves can blow into the pool but this doesn't make the pool water unusable. Also the boiler issue was emailed to us on a Sunday and as soon as we saw the email on Monday morning we repaired the boiler to restore the hot water, there is an out of hours emergency number for evenings and weekends for these situations when the office is closed. I do hope these issues didn't spoil your holiday and we hope you still enjoyed your time in Lagos. From all the team at the Algarve Accommodation Agency

For the benefit of other guests that have booked the villa, the pool heating is always put on a good 2 to 3 days prior to arrival but we were experienceing some rather unseasonably cold weather during this time so the pool did struggle to reach temperature until the weather improved later on in the stay. Why can't I call the property manager before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send the property manager a message.

If the property manager agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
