This is a small watermill that was in use until the beginning of the nineteen hundreds. The foundations date back 400 years. The mill was beautifully rebuilt and a modern stone extension added. It is set in a very pretty valley with sweeping fields and woods and lovely views at every turn. There is a beautiful view from every window of the house. The surrounding gardens are very pretty and well shaded by tall trees.
The colourful kitchen-diner, attractively fitted in pine, leads straight onto the terrace through sliding patio doors where one can eat or lounge in the sun or under the stars. A bedroom gives onto the terrace too and can be a sitting room If desired or I can set up a small art studio. There is a pretty twin bedded second bedroom and a double bed on the mezzanine.
The mill is a two floor high space with magnificent beams under the roof and a wonderful staircase and mezzanine below which is a sitting area with two sofas, the television and a log burner. There is a good grand piano, books, CDs, and DVDs.You can dine outside on the lawns wherever you like under the trees as there are easily moved table and chairs.
