Salmon River Apartments are the perfect place from which to explore the beautiful Isle of Man. Situated in the heart of Laxey Village, surrounded by picturesque countryside and historic charm, this converted stables and hayloft offers the height of luxury with a character twist. The Name Laxey originates from the old Norse Language and means Salmon River and that is where you will find us, right next to the idyllic meandering river at the entrance of the Victorian Valley Gardens.
This secluded yet central location is just moments walk from Laxey Tram Station, village shops, pubs and eateries. A five-minute walk will take you to Laxey Beach and Harbour or even to The Great Laxey Wheel, which is the largest working waterwheel in the world.
In addition to the two double or twin en-suite bedrooms and separate WC, the Stables has an extremely spacious living area, with a beautiful bespoke kitchen and adequate seating for at least 10, so if you are planning on entertaining there is more than enough space and equipment. There are windows on three sides so the apartment is flooded with light and offers beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and heritage trail. Outside there is a tranquil seating and barbeque area overlooking the river as well as storage for motorbikes, bicycles, kayaks and other outdoor pursuit kit with wash-down space. Open all year round, the Stables is wheelchair friendly and can be hired along with The Hayloft for larger parties of 10.

Why can't I call Claire (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Claire (the owner) a message.

If Claire (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
