Description

Petite chateau in the Loire Valley wine village of Le Puy Notre Dame. Property is on the edge of the village on a medieval street close to walking trails in vineyards surrounding the village. Visit many nearby Loire chateaux, restaurants, and other attractions. This is a spacious romantic 15th-19th century stone house (250 square meters) perfect for larger groups or just a few of you. Walk to pharmacy, bakery, 2 restaurants. Enjoy apéros and dinners in our quiet private gardens and courtyards.

Add a charming little town with a couple of restaurants, a Tabac, Epicier and Boulangerie, surrounded by the vineyards of the Loire. After all, how much better could it possibly get?" Our home has old turrets, stone walls, beams, fireplaces and large kitchen, dining and living areas. Our property is completely surrounded by high old stone walls for your privacy and quiet enjoyment. Don't miss the local markets nearby throughout the week in the cities of Saumur, Thouars, Montreuil-Bellay, Chinon, Angers, and Doué la Fontaine.

A three hour drive from Paris or the Atlantic coast. A 20 minute ride from train stations and car rental. Despite its large size, renters have the place to themselves.

Le Puy Notre Dame is an authentic French village. Church bells ring throughout the day. Locals frequent the tobac. Children walk to the village schools. Patrons gather at Le Bouchon Ponot for the 13 euros lunch. Power lines are underground and antique lights show the way at night. Flowers hang throughout the village. Le Puy Notre Dame offers a pleasant blend of country living and village life.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Robert (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
