Description from owner

Description

This former hop drying kiln, which has been lovingly converted still features a working cowl that turns with the wind.

The double bedroom is on the ground floor with a comfortable double bed and wardrobe. We have a cot and blackout blinds available on request.

The adjacent bathroom features a shower over the bath. Egyptian cotton linen and fluffy towels are standard. All heating and hot water is included in the price of your stay.

Upstairs there is a light and airing open plan living/dining room with a comfy sofa, TV and DVD player (plus access to a DVD library).

The kitchen has an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and is well equipped for all of your culinary needs. We also include washing up liquid, tin foil, cling film, salt, pepper and oil so you don't have to think about packing anything other than your food! There is access to a shared washing machine and tumble dryer throughout your stay.

Outside there is a private, sunny patio area with table, chairs and BBQ. This is the perfect spot to sit and relax and take in the glorious countryside which is abundant with wildlife.

We have a well stocked DVD library for you to use throughout your stay as well as lots of maps and local information. WiFi is available free of charge and you have your own parking space.

There is a range of Clipper teas, coffee and hot chocolate for your arrival along with a bottle of our very own apple juice. Delicious, fresh local produce and fridge essentials can be arranged - just ask for more information.

We (Serena, Simon & Elijah) are on hand if you need anything during your stay.

Kiln Cottage is surrounded by beautiful and tranquil countryside, we can’t guarantee you’ll sleep better than you ever have, but there’s a good chance you will! It’s an idyllic place to get away from it all.

We offer stays for either: 7 nights starting Friday or Monday, 3 nights (long weekends) starting Friday, or 4 nights (mid-week) starting Monday.

Getting around

A car is pretty much essential to make the most of your stay here and there is plenty of parking available on site. There is a bus service into Ledbury and beyond and the nearest train station is Ledbury. The M50 is just a 15-minute drive away.

Interaction with guest

We live just across the driveway, so we’ll usually be here to welcome you and show you the ropes (if you like) and then leave you to enjoy your stay. But we’re always about if you need us, whether it’s to replace a bulb or recommend a great pub. For stays over a week we will arrange a suitable time to provide fresh linen.
