From the manager

With direct access to the most beautiful beach in St Ives and an amazing starlit steam room, Coxwain’s Cottage is one of the most glamorous places to rest your head in Cornwall. Unique, design-led and impeccably finished, our first three-bedroom property in St Ives rivals the best beach villas around the world.

As with all of our properties, the exterior of Coxswain’s Cottage is delightfully unassuming. But step off the bustling street and you’ll discover a stylish sanctum of exposed stone walls and thoughtful design, ideal for an indulgent weekend or a week away with friends and family. The house has a fully equipped kitchen and a living room with a vast six-person sofa that fits the entire family for film night. The three bedrooms and three bathrooms (two of which are en-suite) are all wonderfully comfortable for a property of this size, with the large bathroom also converting into a decadent steam room, ideal for warming chilled bodies after a plunge in the Cornish sea.

All the usual Beachspoke standard items apply and include a Nespresso machine, quality cookware and a complimentary bottle of bubbles.

Located on Back Road West in Downalong, St Ives, the cottage has a small private patio garden to the rear which leads to a secret tunnel that opens right onto the sand on Porthmeor Beach. The boutiques and cafés of St Ives are less than two minutes away, while the Tate gallery a five-minute walk from the property.

Private parking is available on request at an additional charge. Please do speak to the office to check the availability. Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted in Coxswain’s Cottage.

To do

Try your hand at surfing with a lesson from St Ives Surf School on Porthmeor beach, trek along the coast to nearby Zennor for a pint at The Tinner’s arms, and be bowled over by the fascinating life and works of sculptor Barbara Hepworth at the nearby museum dedicated to her legacy.
