From the owner

Our apartment is in Aiguille Grive III, a wooden clad apartment complex in Charmettoger, Arc 1800. Its location at the base of the Charmettoger chairlift makes it ideal for a true ski-in ski-out experience - you don't get much closer to the slopes!

The apartment is spaced over three floors, with the central floor being the main living area and the upper/lower floors containing the bedrooms/bathrooms. You can view a video on YouTube by searching for "Aiguille Grive Video Tour (HIRSCH)".

The apartment is unusual for sleeping up to 10 guests. It is ideal for up to 8, but there is also a sofabed in the living room bringing the maximum capacity to 10.

The layout makes it ideal for one or two families or a group of friends. The entrance is on the middle floor and contains an area for storing skis, a living/dining room, a kitchenette and a balcony. The upper and lower floors each have a twin/double bedroom, separate bunk beds and a shower/bathroom. There is a twin sofabed in the living room. In total the apartment has floor area of 56 square metres (600 square feet).

Arc 1800 is a Saturday changeover resort, so we can only accept Saturday to Saturday bookings.

The owners are based in the UK, so key pick up and any questions or issues while you are on your holiday are dealt with by our local agent. If you have any questions prior to your departure, whether they are practical, or you just want some advice, then please contact us. If you do not wish to bring your own bed linen you have a couple of options: you can purchase disposable linen from the rental agent where you pick up the keys (this is what most people do), or you can rent it locally (both options cost €20 per person). Guests should bring their own towels.

Why can't I call Dominic (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Dominic (the owner) a message.

If Dominic (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
