From the owner

A spacious apartment of around 100sq meters set over 4 floors in the centre of Les Houches village, only a short distance from Chamonix. It offers modern living with 3 en-suite bedrooms which can all be made up as king beds or two singles. The views from the apartment of the Mont Blanc massif are breath taking.

The property undertakes an extensive clean after each visit by professional cleaners.

The chalet style apartment, one of just 8 in the building, was built in 2006 and is situated just behind the ever-popular Hotel Du Bois which has an excellent restaurant and bar near the centre of the village of Les Houches (750m approximately) in the Chamonix Mont Blanc Valley.

On the first floor the apartment consists of a spacious living area with HD (HDMI) TV, gas burning woodburning style stove, fully fitted kitchen, including integrated washing machine, dishwasher and electric hob and oven.

There is also a dining area which seats 6, plus WC on the first floor and a wooden staircase winding up to the top floor bedroom with private en-suite shower and basin.

The ground floor features an entrance lobby giving access to a double bedroom with wardrobe space, HD TV and modern en-suite bathroom consisting of bath with overhead shower, WC and sink.

Downstairs accessed from the entrance lobby is the large master bedroom with dressing area and HD TV and modern en-suite bathroom consisting of full size bath with overhead shower. There is also a separate WC.

Floor-to-ceiling windows and French doors opening onto the private balcony and vaulted ceilings give our apartment a bright, spacious and open living space year-round. The fireplace and amazing insulation coupled with underfloor heating keep it wonderfully warm and cosy in winter.

The entrance hall contains storage for skis and boots.

Outside, there is private parking for two vehicles available accessed from Route de la Griaz.

There is access to the garden which is shared with the Hotel du Bois.

Suitability:

• children welcome (although please be mindful there are no stair gates if they are very young)

• wheelchair inaccessible due to the stairs

Each bedroom can be made up with twin or double beds and with cots if needed.

Please note that the WiFi is restricted in the ground and lower ground floor bedrooms. We find hot spots or using a dongle works well if it’s important to you.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Karen (the owner) a message.

If Karen (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
