“Xmas in les houches piste side chalet”

Reviewed 31 Dec 2017

Each bedroom has it's own balcony two bedrooms have en suite shower and toilet the balcony areas were good to enjoy the exceptional mountain views. off the kitchen, overlooking the main road and bridge one side and mountains the other. The chalet was clean and tidy. The kitchen was well equipped. The open fire was very nice and the lounge had plenty of seating and windows all the way around it to enjoy the view. The chalet guardians we're friendly enough. It was unfortunate that during our stay the snow and water was dropping off the roof causing flooding in the downstairs apartments so a large tarpolin was put up to try and drain the water which was blocking most of the view and light from the lounge and was constantly making a dripping sound which was rather annoying especially at night. The mother in law swapped bedrooms because the bed was too hard but that's the only faults we found. We highly recommend this accommodation it's well situated for skiing and other activities, has amazing views and easily fits a large group of people. Les houches is a lovely area and the people seemed very welcoming. The kitch inn bar and restraunt was nice food and the bakery does very nice cakes. The les houches ski lift was only a few minutes walk and prarion ski area only about 5 mins walk. The buses were every 30 mins going to all ski areas, towns and villages. The chalet is easily accessible by public transport train and bus from les houches or chamonix town which is not all that far away max 30mins. The supermarket was about 20 mins walk. Many thanks for reading hope this is helpful.
