Description

The cottage is spacious, light and airy and is a home from home. Directly outside is an enclosed gravelled patio area, with hot tub overlooking the private garden. Set within 100 acres there are miles of grass tracks to explore and our land adjoins a large forest with many walks or bike adventures to be had. We are near to a village with two restaurants , but far enough away so no cars or noise apart from the wildlife can be heard. Our cottage is ideal for famillies who want peace and quiet, not too far from the coast, (under an hour) or couple/adults who want to really chill out and escape the rush of modern day life. Our heated pool is perfect for those long hot days, after the exploring has been done. We are within an hour of many beautiful towns, within the outstanding Breton countryside. We also have a games room. We can also offer dressage lessons to adults on our Irish Sports horse.

I stayed at the property for a week with my husband,daughter and two grandsons ages 8+6. The welcome by the owners Judith and Jeremy is second to none, fresh flowers on kitchen table along with fresh fruits,a delicious freshly baked cake and a bottle of merlot. They had provided fresh crossiants too and all we needed for our first French breakfast. The cottage is very pretty and well laid out, spacious farmhouse type kitchen and living room area we liked the two bedrooms downstairs with bathroom for the boys and my daughter with spacious upstairs room with its own bathroom for my husband and I. The location is peaceful and tranquil we walked everyday through the meadows and forest which is part of the estate. The boys particularly liked walking along the river and playing by the lake den building in the woods. We all loved the pool which is set in your own private garden and exclusive to the gite, it is a beautiful setting and great area to sunbathe listening to the hum of the bees and birdsong , watching buzzards lazily soar overhead. Although the setting is very quiet and peaceful there was lots for two very active boys to do they played football,badminton,table tennis,pool, learned to fish, played boules,darts,learned to row a boat went walking and nature watching and photography all provided at the gite. We had great holiday and would not hesitate in recommending this property thank you Judith and Jeremy

The two weeks spent at Penderff was exactly what was needed for my husband and daughter, stressed-out from work pressures. The tranquil setting, well-equipped accommodation, and very attentive owners all went to make our stay memorable.

Judith and Jeremy made us feel really welcome with a beautifully homemade cake to greet us on our arrival. The cottage was better equipped than we expected and really comfortable and clean. The location is idyllic with fabulous views over the French countryside perfect for walks. Their land and surrounding area was ideal for picnics and exploring the lake in the owner’s boat was great fun! The garden provided a secluded area for sunbathing and swimming in their new pool. There is also lots of games and sports equipment you can use in their games room as well. We really enjoyed our time at Penderff and look forward to visiting again in the future.
