Staying at Samara Villa

Samara was specifically designed to offer guests all the comforts and pleasures of contemporary living in an unspoilt, natural, oceanside setting that personifies Koh Samui's unique island appeal. The secure, walled property is peaceful and very private, with a modern, Thai influenced design, combining natural materials and shingle roofs with the best in contemporary finishing and leading edge amenities. Outside, the villa is framed in tropical flora, while inside, the open interiors are beautifully complemented by a fine collection of Asian art and artefacts.

The convenient layout and innovative, open walled room designs allow you to wander barefoot between the bedrooms and living areas with ease, all the time surrounded by soothing ocean views. An intelligent use of outdoor space makes island life a real pleasure, whether lounging in comfort between cooling dips in the pool, dining al fresco in one of the open sided salas, or enjoying some beach time just steps from the comfort of the villa. The well trained staff team takes care of the details and willingly arranges for special meals prepared by a private chef (charged to guests' account). Despite the secluded location, the villa's sophisticated interiors and entertainment systems mean every holiday pleasure is close to hand, while a range of island attractions are also within easy reach.

The Villa

Samara's five generous bedrooms and versatile, spacious living areas, are positioned around an enticing 20 metres private pool, with sand-washed sun decks furnished with cushioned loungers, and dramatic sea views right from the cooling waters.

The villa's three master bedrooms are situated by the pool, the walls sliding open onto the pool deck and tropical views. One master directly overlooks the beach, while on the opposite side of the pool an open-sided dining pavilion, with swim-up bar, offers an idyllic spot for daily al fresco meals, with a second beachfront 'sala' (pavilion) providing the perfect spot for sunset cocktails. Both paviions are fitted with outdoor speakers and connected to the villa's top of the line sound system.

The main living pavilion sits to the back of the pool and features a comfortable open plan upper floor lounge, dining space and modern kitchen. The lounge area boasts high wooden ceilings and is furnished with a huge L-shaped sofa, poised in front of an impressive 65 inch LCD TV with Bose surround sound system, satellite TV and a hard drive loaded with movies. Floor to ceiling glass doors open onto a wide sun deck with yet more stunning views over the pool and beach.

Adjacent to the lounge, a 10-seater dining table is served by a fully equipped western kitchen and breakfast bar with a built-in oven and double fridge freezer. A second 'wet kitchen' is located on the same floor where staff prepares delicious meals to order from the varied in-villa suggestion menu.

Below the lounge, the two double guest bedrooms also slide open onto the pool deck with views out to the beach and sea. All 6 bedrooms feature 32” LCD TV/DVD/sound systems, built-in wardrobes with personal safes, and en-suite bathrooms with walk-in rain showers. 4 of the bathrooms feature freestanding terrazzo tubs.

Daily rate from 3,4,5 rooms ( for 6,8,10 guests), option to add charge of extra person up to max. occupancy 17 guests in 6 rooms.

Rates on Calendar are discounted (STAY less than 5 nights or 14 nights in peak season) for EARLY BIRD booking 5 month in advance or LAST MINUTE BOOKING 1 month prior arrival.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If Sheila (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
