The House

A town House 30m from Camões Square, in the very heart of the luxury historical part of Lisbon.

The house includes the top two floors, comprising a living room and kitchen on the main floor and two bedrooms, bathroom and a small sunny terrace on the top floor.

All the famous facilities are nearby: S. Carlos Opera, S. Luis Theatre, Museum of Modern Art, Brasileira café, and many other museums, theaters, and plenty of trendy cafes and restaurants. In the neighbourhood there are many famous shops: fashion shops, bookshops, ice-cream shops, hairdressers, etc. It has also many practical facilities nearby, as supermarkets (including biological), bakeries, fruit and vegetable shops, groceries.

The house is as central as it gets. You are literally 100 metres from the Baixa/Chiado Metro Station (Blue/Green Line) and taxi spot, 30m from the famous 28 Tram and other Buses, 7 minutes walking distance to the train stations of Cais do Sodré and Rossio, which can take you to Cascais or Sintra. You are 15-20 minutes away, on foot, to the main features of the old town: Baixa quarter, the Castle, Alfama, the river side, the Botanical Garden, a lot famous squares and belvederes. In Camões Square you have a big underground parking.

The house has been renovated recently, it has double-glazed windows, sound-proof shutters on the windows.

The house has many real paintings, drawings and printings and real plants/flowers.

The main bedroom has a double bed with orthopaedics mattress, a sofa, a mirror, two closets and a balcony. The balcony has a small table and two chairs. The other bedroom has two single beds and a chest of drawers. The kitchen is fully equipped, including coffee expresso machine and electric tea kettle. The living room has two sofas, a puff, one dining table and chairs, a small table, and cable TV with international channels. There are some books and games available like chess, cards, etc.

The bathroom has a cabin shower, a toilet, a washbasin, and hair dryer.

The house provide bed linen and towels.

You have access to free Wi-Fi in the entire house.

Guest Access

You will be the only guests sleeping in the building (there is only this house) and have access to all the spaces listed above.

Interaction with Guests

The owners, Sara and Mario, work nearby, and are pleased to help in any way, whether you want a recommendation of places to visit or solving a problem. If you want privacy we are also happy to leave you undisturbed.

We speak English, Spanish, and some French.

The Neighborhood

The house is located on the edge of the Bairro Alto neighbourhood, famous for its restaurants, cultural life, fado houses and night life. Bordering Camões Square, it is also right next to Chiado: the centre for all the cultural life of Lisbon, where the famous theatres, cafés and museums are located: S. Carlos Opera, S. Luis Theatre, Museum of Modern Art, Brasileira café, and many others.

Getting Around

The house is as central as it gets. Children are welcome. We have some toys available.

Unfortunately not suited for guests using wheelchair.

In case of doubts or any kind of emergency, you can always contact us. Even if we are not able to answer immediately, we will call you back as soon as possible.

There is only one apartment in the building, still, be careful about the noise. Parties are strictly forbidden. Water and electrical consumption shouldn't be disproportional. For safety reasons, always close the street door when entering or leaving the building.

If there is something broken or missing, or that you don't like in any way, please let us know immediately.

Check-out is until 12 AM, so we can clean and prepare the apartment for the next guests. Depending on the time of arrival of the next guests, or if we are in our office, it's possible to leave your luggage until a later time. Dishes are to be washed and put back in the cabinets.

Leave the sets of keys on the living room table and TV remotes by the TV.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Sara (the owner) a message.

If Sara (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
