From the owner

The cottage occupies a converted farm house on our Penybanc sheep and cattle farm. The cottage has ( 2 double bedrooms with en suite and 1 twin). As well as 3 bedrooms there is a bathroom with separate shower and bath. Ground floor sitting room with a wood burning fire, TV radio and CD player, Whilst the kitchen/ diner is well equipped, First floor has a second sitting room with cosy settees TV, DVD and video players and a selection of books. Also a door leading to patio with table & chairs. Outside there are extensive grounds with barbecue and seating area to catch the afternoon and evening sun.

The cottage is in an elevated position over looking the small hamlet of Tylwch, Three miles south of Llanidloes. Superb and dramatic views await our guests, who will find the cottage a tranquil haven and a perfect base for walking the surrounding hills, Bird watching or visiting the many interesting attractions of mid wales. The scenic lakes of Llyn Clywedog and Elan valley are all within 15 miles of the cottage, whilst the coast of cardigan bay at Aberystwyth and Borth is less than an hours drive away across the wild and rugged Cambrian mountains.

Why can't I call Margaret (the owner) before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Margaret (the owner) a message.

If Margaret (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
