Our extremely private Cascada is set into the rocks, overlooking Laguna Torca, home of the rare Black Necked Swans. This unique home and yard is part of a small olive oil farm, winner of the Sol D'Or Southern Hemisphere gold medal for best delicate fruit olive oil. Our Cascada is a natural wonder, built by a famous Chilean architect, it is almost as the home has grown into the rocks. Named after the cascada and pool that flow behind the house, this home is a destination not to be missed.
Part of the charm of this home is how it is nestled into the rock, and high enough so that the view is breathtaking. We are more than happy to accommodate small children and families at our Cascada. However, while our home is beautiful, it has some steep drop offs and long falls for infants and toddlers. We do not recommend this home for very small children who are not steady on their feet, or adults who have difficulties with stairs. Our gardens are very private, and gorgeously shaded with trees and many flowers bushes. There is also a private, outdoor living space and small wood burning BBQ. There are two spacious bedrooms, with beds set up for 5. We may be able to accommodate 1-2 more if a request is made.
Our farm is yours to explore while you are here! We live on the property as well, and are typically about the property at all hours, except the private grounds of the Cascada. You are welcome to pet the horses, gather eggs from the hens, look around the olive trees, or help yourself to some of the many fruit trees that may be in season.
The Cascada is a very private full home with beautiful gardens and a stunning view of one of Chile's greatest national reserves, Laguna Torca. We are a small, award-winning Olive Oil farm and production, with both native speaking English and Spanish speakers on the farm to assist you should there be any questions during your stay! Our premium oil is available for a special discount to all our guests, and a complementary bottle of our very own red wine is included with each stay.
We are within walking distance (7 minutes) to the Reserva Laguna Torca and viewing area of the Black Neck Swans. The costal town of Llico is a short bike ride away, or a 20 minute walk. There are numerous Supermercado's in town and restaurants. The ocean is about 5 kms from our farm. Vichuquen airstrip is directly across from the farm and we would be more than willing to do our best to accommodate travelers coming into the area by air, or by local bus, which stops at the end of our road. We are unable to rent you a vehicle, but we can pick you up and drop you off at the airstrip
