New Moon villa is one of the Desa Bulan (Moon Village) villas, located minutes away from the centre of Ubud, Bali. The fusion of typical Balinese thatch roofing and modern lines, gives this villa a unique contemporary yet homely feel.

Beautiful 2 bedroom villa with private swimming pool overlooking the rice fields. We have an air mattress making it possible to sleep with 3 in the air conditioned bedroom upstairs. We can also accommodate a child under 150cm (free) in the downstairs bedroom on a small sofa bed.

Interior spaces that are stunning and cosy: New Moon's interiors are largely white and wood in colour, making them cool and elegant; whilst the open plan living/dining area gives the feeling of embracing the natural surroundings.

The kitchen's combination of wood and terrazzo surfaces are an interior designer's dream, and offer an unequaled location for throwing together a family meal or crafting a culinary masterpiece for a special occasion. Meanwhile the large white L-shaped sofa and the unusual large wooden table in the living area are both aesthetically pleasing and luxuriantly comfortable; creating an ideal setting for eating, drinking or just relaxing during the day.

The two bedrooms also encompass a perfect blend of elegance and relaxation; dark wooden flooring is matched with light coloured four posted beds that offer a great night's sleep every night. The upstairs bedroom has air-conditioning, while the downstairs bedroom contains a portable air cooler unit. With an ensuite bathroom, private terrace and unblocked views of the natural surroundings, each bedroom becomes a haven for its occupants; to top it off the master bedroom opens onto the pool deck and features an open air bathroom with terrazzo bathtub, for a truly opulent and romantic escape.

Peaceful and private outdoor spaces, with a view: The villa's crowning feature is perhaps its private 7m swimming pool opening to the neighbouring rice fields, (a unique attribute in the estate) which is set into its own terrace with sun loungers, perfect for sun worshippers who want some peace and quiet. The exterior spaces also include; a second lounge in the back garden, an outdoor dining table and a lounging sala with plush seating, all with jaw-dropping views over the adjacent rice paddies. The multitude of outdoor options means that whether you want to sip a sundowner with friends, enjoy an alfresco evening meal, or curl up with a good book, you can find the perfect setting here.

The resort also has a larger communal pool (good for swimming laps) and children’s pool for guest use.

Unbeatable services and local surroundings: New Moon is located just outside of the picturesque town of Ubud, famous for its food, views and cultural attractions, including striking waterfalls and temples; more information can be provided by the villa manager.

This villa offers true tranquility as it is set away from the town, and has three restaurants within 5-10 minutes drive. The villa manager is available to make you a wonderful Indonesian lunch or evening meal upon request (for an additional cost), using fresh local ingredients. We also provide you with a pre-paid local phone and a selection of menus for local and international restaurants that will deliver to New Moon, meaning that, if you wish, you don't even need to enter Ubud for a sumptuous meal

When you arrive you will be picked up from the airport (at no extra charge) and will be greeted by a complimentary bouquet of flowers and basket of fruit, to make you feel truly welcome. During your stay the villa manager is always on hand to arrange a variety of services to help make your stay as easy and relaxing as possible.

These services include massage and spa treatments, bicycle and motorbike hire and a driver. The driver is particularly recommended, with good English speaking and an exceptional knowledge of Bali; he will ferry you around, tailoring to your preferences and desires, creating a unique experience of the island for you. Guest feedback: "Honestly, don't waste your time thinking you want to take yourself everywhere and find it on your own: you'll never find it. He will save you loads of time and stress and is a genuine great guy."

Daily maid service and breakfast are included in your stay and form part of your experience at New Moon villa. We can also arrange a baby-sitter (and baby cot) if required.

New Moon is set up as an indoor/outdoor experience. You live close to nature and will have daily visits from ducks, frogs and geckos. Please appreciate the natural setting of the resort and do not expect a 5 star accommodation.

Why can't I call Hosted by Paula (the owner) before booking?

You can exchange contact details with the property owner/manager once your booking is confirmed and you’ve paid in full. Paying and communicating only through our platform allows us to ensure that your booking is covered by our Payment Protection policy.

If you have any questions before booking, you can send the property owner/manager a message via the contact form on their listing. Once you’ve booked, you can discuss the rental and make arrangements for your trip by logging into Manage my booking.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How can I retract my booking request?

You’ll need to contact Hosted by Paula (the owner) to do this. Send them a message in Manage your holiday booking or through the contact form on this page.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Hosted by Paula (the owner) a message.

If Hosted by Paula (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
