From the manager

6 Russell Court is an apartment which has been finished to a very high standard and having superb views of the town of Looe, its harbour, the surrounding countryside and the sea. Located on the top floor (second) the accommodation can be reached via the stairs or by lift, parking for one car is available immediately outside the building. The town of Looe with its fine beach, harbour, boutique shops, restaurants and pubs is only a 5/6 minute walk downhill- perhaps a little longer on the return.

The accommodation has been furnished in a contemporary style and includes an open plan living/dining room and kitchen, two bedrooms, a double and a twin and a family bathroom. The living/dining room is furnished with brown leather settees and has a contemporary dining suite and a breakfast bar with two stools . From this room there are French doors leading to the balcony from where the superb views can really be enjoyed. The balcony is provided with a table and chairs. The lounge area has a 32" flat screen TV with DVD and there is a radio/CD player and books and games. The kitchen is finished in light wood and the fitted equipment includes an electric oven with ceramic hob, dishwasher, fridge, washer drier and a microwave is also provided. There is a full size freezer in the storeroom which is also useful for keeping outdoor clothing in. A long hallway gives access to all the rooms in the apartment including the spacious double bedroom which has a king sized double bed and the twin bedroom with 3ft singles. The family bathroom is fully tiled in gleaming white and is equipped with a bath with shower over, w.c. and wash basin. The apartment is bright and airy and the modern furnishings and fabrics give a very contemporary feel. This is a lovely property in a great location being close to all the amenities but in a quiet and relaxing environment.

Response from the manager
We have read your review of the property. Thank you very much for the positive points that you have made. Regarding fire, electrical, and water safety, the owner has sought all the necessary advice to ensure that the property is completely compliant with the safety regulations. In fact the owner is very safety conscious. Please see below - Along with the other owners in the building, a reputable fire safety company is employed to visit the building twice a year to inspect the fire safety system (detectors, alarms, emergency lighting, panel) and the fire extinguishers - PAT electrical testing is carried out within the apartment every two years, the last being in December 2020 - A gas safety certificate is obtained for the apartment every year - The lift is inspected twice a year. Whilst the owner has acknowledged that on this particular occasion, elements of the cleaning were not up to the usual standard (which has been addressed) if you had called the number provided in both the pre arrival information, and in the apartment’s information folder, then all of your concerns would have been addressed, or explained, straight away, rather than waiting until your holiday was over before expressing them. We could respond to all the other points in detail but there are eleven previous 5 star reviews that speak for the property, and the English Tourist board have given the apartment a 4 star rating for many years

Response from the manager
Many thanks for your comments following your stay we will certainly look at the points that you raised. Lots of properties in Cornwall did hugely inflate their prices over the pandemic but fortunately Russell Court wasn't one of them and the prices have only gone up the usual amounts each year. Thank you again for taking the time to leave a review and we hope to welcome you back in the future.
