Leaholme is a handsome, cream, double-fronted, period detached house, with an enclosed south-facing private rear garden and ample parking space for three cars.

As countless returning guests have testified, Leaholme Cottage is the ideal Northumberland holiday house in an absolutely stunning location in the coastal village of High Newton-by-the-Sea. It really has everything you need for a perfect seaside holiday.

Furnished to a luxury standard, Leaholme Cottage has been awarded a 5 Stars Gold rating for self-catering accommodation by Visit England. Decorated in restful Farrow and Ball colours, the house provides a relaxing atmosphere enhancedby a selection of beautiful original artwork by local artists. The house is also one of the few luxury properties in the area to welcome dogs, with free dog beds and a doggy welcome pack to make your pet feel at home.

This gorgeous house sleeps up to eight guests in four double bedrooms (please note there is a normal occupancy restriction of six adults and two children). Luxury hypoallergenic goose-down duvets are provided in all rooms, but synthetic duvets can be substituted on request. There are two bathrooms, one of which is on the ground floor. Both reception rooms boast traditional open-coal fires along with full central heating, so it really is perfect for breaks at any time of year.

The location of the house could not be better, as it is only a few minutes' walk from the renowned, award-winning wedding venue of Newton Hall and just 100 metres from the well-known Joiner's Arms gastropub. The house is also just a ten-minute stroll from three of the best beaches on the stunning Northumberland coast. The Ship Inn at Low Newton has been voted by The Times as one of the best coastal pubs in the country, serving locally caught seafood and home grown produce as well as a selection of real ales from its on-site microbrewery.

We offer full-week stays starting Monday or Friday, 3-night weekend breaks starting on Friday, and 4-night midweek breaks starting on Monday. How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Lynn (the owner) a message.

If Lynn (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
