Description

web-site moulindemaulne com

stay in the comfort of our recently renovated ancient mill, on 30 acres of its own land. Situated in the heart of the Loire Valley, there is a private drive, swimming pool and open views in all directions.

Moulin de Maulne retains its Old World feeling, with an eye towards modern living allowing you to stay in total comfort. The stone walls and wooden beams help to retain the character of this ancient property. The gardens and surrounding environment of the river Maulne, that used to supply the old mill, give you the experience of being in a tranquil relaxed environment but just a short drive to the best that the Loire Valley has to offer.

Getting around

If you decide to come for holidays to this beautiful region on a self catering basis, our property is a perfect base for your stay. Moulin de Maulne is available from the end of May until the last week of September. We are situated in the heart of the Loire Valley in a central location giving easy access to Tours, Saumur, Chinon, Angers and Le Mans, surrounded by our own neighbouring historical treasures such as: Chateau du Lude, the vestige of Chateau de Vaujours, roman amphitheater of Vaas, Chateau Golf des Sept Tours with its beautifully kept golf course.

Interaction with guest

Things to see and do for the whole family. There are plenty of fun things to do also for the children as well. One of them is Bioparc, the Zoo at Doue-la-Fontaine which was built in an old quarry, creating a real safari feel. It contains, amongst other things, the largest aviary in Europe, which all children love. Since our daughter was 3 we’ve also been regular visitors to another park called Terra Botanica, near Angers. It has a strong educational focus as well as a wonderful aesthetic interest, enough to keep everyone happy. We recommend it to all our guests who visit with their children as it is a fabulous way to spend a day.
