Kharvilla is a private 4 bedroomed Villa with pool and jacuzzi. It is set within it's own private walled garden. Location is on the Nile riverbank in the quiet Westbank countryside of Djorf beside the banana plantations and palm trees. The views of the river are exceptional from the bedroom verandahs . Experience the quiet rural paths alongside the riverbank or take a 10min drive to the Westbank villages of Gezira and Ramla. Take the short ferry across the river to the East bank to visit Karnak, Luxor temples or the museums. Kharvilla is just 10mins drive to the Valley of the Kings and surrounding necropolis or hire a bicycle to have an amazing adventure sightseeing at your own pace.

If you prefer peace and quiet and your own privacy Kharvilla will provide all of this, on your return from visiting the sites you can relax in the beautiful 9x4 mt pool with 6 jet jacuzzi. You will be enthralled by the varieties of birds set against the blue sky background. Have breakfast on the verandahs with the rising sun , watch life along the riverbank and wind down in the evening with the setting sun, all in full view.

There is a lovely Nileside garden attached to the property which is yours to enjoy. Take a relaxing evening meal with the views across the river , watch Luxor city light up and be mesmerised with the felucca boats sailing by. A short walk from the villa along a riverside path takes you to 2 restaurants providing food and fresh juices. The villa is close to the famous Alladin restaurant of Banana Island and the fabulous Djorf Palace Hotel . Enjoy an evening meal here or take a boat ride to anywhere across the river.

Sayed is the friendly manager of kharvilla. He is there to ensure you have a stressfree holiday during your stay at the villa. He is available to organise any excursions you want or to go for grocery shopping. He can bring you food on demand or organise takeaway from the local restaurants.

My only response to this review can be to say that these guests have been a major disappointment. I have been shocked at the level of nastiness from these comments so I must redress the situation. Kharvilla has other rental hoilday properties beside it and is very popular due to its proximity to the Nile and amazing countryside views. We have had lovely guests from Canada , Belgium, Switzerland , France and England who have given us 4/5 star ratings. Indeed a guest who spent 2 weeks inJjuly gave us 5 stars and has booked again for 2 further stays. No one has ever mentioned any of this exaggerated nonsense about animal poop and flies in the house.There are double doors on the house with the inner ones having glass so we can look out at the views. As most people know it is sensible to keep windows and doors closed to keep the interior cool with the air condition. We had guests who stayed for 3 weeks prior to this booking. They enjoyed the pool immensely and spent long periods in it. Unfortunately the overuse of suncreams and oils did alter the PH levels and as we had a short turnround time before arrival of new guests the result was the water condition below our normal standard. Sayed takes enormous pride in the water and worked very hard to fix the problem. He knows exactly how to do this and was treating the water with the chlorine and algae chemicals. After 2 days the water had returned to its usual high standard. This guest had requested a further discount on the promotional price on the premise that they had a blog and it could possibly be good for business. Having read that blog of the Nile cruise it is easy to see the attitude towards the local egyptian people. Everyone has a different perspective and some are better suited to the hotel tourist holiday while others like to experience the real countryside and enjoy the locals. There are 2 local villages with great small grocery shops within 10 mins drive costing 40 egyptian return journey, around 1.50 sterling. and Abu will wait as long as you need. If you want to stock up for a couple of weeks he will take you to larger supermarkets across the river. Most guests stock up and also enjoy an evening meal at the 2 restaurants within a 10 minute walk along the Nile path. It is such a shame that these guests decided they didn't want to be involved with the local community instead of relaxing and enjoying the cultural experience. I know it is impossible to please every guest but I will certainly learn from this for the future rental of Kharvilla.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.
