The apartment has many historic features - hardwood floors, an open fireplace and exposed wooden doors and shutters.
My recommendations to restaurants, shops and services in Lyon are included in a dossier in the apartment to make your stay in Lyon as enjoyable and authentically French as possible. In the general area, there are excellent restaurants and shops including traditional butchers, bakers, fishmongers and greengrocers. The Opéra de Lyon, the Musée des Beaux-Arts and the ancient city are all within a few minutes' walk. The Saône is two minutes away and there are attractive walks along the banks. A daily food market is held by the river with second-hand books at the week-end
Buses, the Metro and a city bike (Vélo'V) rental station are all close-by
I live in a separate apartment in the same building and can provide help and advice if this is needed. For early arrival and late departure, guests may store their luggage in my apartment by arrangement

I have myself rented many furnished apartments and – through that experience - have arrived at what guarantees an enjoyable stay: a warm and friendly atmosphere; a large main room which gives a real feeling of space; a centrally situated apartment to enjoy the city without necessarily having to take public transport; a good bed; good Wi-Fi connection; and a thousand little details which make all the difference - large wardrobes for storage, a full-length mirror, a reading lamp near the couch, a desk separate from the table for meals, a well equipped kitchen (for lovers of cooking), quality crockery good enough to invite friends, blackout curtains in the bed room.
