If you're looking for a romantic and relaxing vacation, away from the hustle and bustle and stress of everyday life, Clever Fox cottage is the place for you. Located right on the shore of Crow Lake, this cottage offers a quiet, peaceful experience with just the sounds of gulls, loons and waves. Imagine yourself having morning coffee on the back deck overlooking the lake, listening to the cry of a loon and the magical sunrise piercing the early morning mist over the lake. Imagine enjoying a barbecue at sunset and watching the few small fishing boats drifting by while you relax in the hammock listening to the wind and waves, or going for tranquil daily walks or a cooling swim to get re-energized. Even rainy days can be enjoyed by listening to the soothing sound of falling rain, and the mesmerizing effect of the drops on the water while relaxing under the awning on the front deck. In the evenings, you can watch a movie, listen to music, relax by a fire or marvel at the fireflies and the night sky full of stars, or watch the moon rise over the lake while listening to the cry of the loon. Grill your steaks on the deck, fish from the dock, launch your canoe from the shore or bike the scenic South Frontenac. Whatever you decide to do, you'll enjoy your stay in this charming, modern cottage.

Bedroom has one queen size bed for two adults. In one corner of the bedroom there is a stair access to the loft that also has one queen bed and one single bed. This can accommodate an additional 2 family members but with limited privacy.

For a change of pace, shopping in Westport, or Perth is only 25 min away, while dining and supplies are available in Sharbot Lake (15 min drive).

A canoe , small boat, paddles and fishing equipment, life jackets and floats are included.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If James (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
